I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis 8 years ago. I also have no L5S1 disc in my spine from an old car accident. I have chronic/constant neck spasms from the MS as well as from the spine spasms. I have tried valium, gabepenton, lyrica and flexeril. I had trigger point injections in my neck/shoulders. No relief at all. My Neuro wants to do another trigger point injection himself. But what is that going to do for the spasms in my back and the ones I get in my legs from time to time? He will not prescribe ANY pain medications. I requested Vicodin, since I had a short prescription from a busted blood vessel in my hip from my MS injectable medication that messed me up pretty bad. I actually felt half normal! It was great because I didn't feel "dopey", I was...

I am in urgent need of a pain doctor in the central florida area that isn't afraid to prescribe fentanyl patch & percocet. I've been seeing a doctor in a pain management group that keeps cutting my dosages down every time i go in and just wants to give me inj's. that don't help, he also makes me come in every two weeks and i cant afford the copays and taking the time off work constantly. Not only that he has me take U/A's every month. I've never given him a reason to do this so i don't know why he does it but i have to find someone new and fast. I've been on percocet for the last five years and fentanyl patch for the last 18 months. I have great insurance and a good pharmacy but cant afford to keep doing this. I'm in constant agony from my back pa...

Like everyone else I am having a hard time finding a pharmacy that will fill my pain medication, I live in Brandon near Tampa Fla. My Dr. will only give me certain meds because he is aware of the problems getting some meds filled. When I went to the pharmacy I asked him and he said the same thing, I then said I guess I could do a mail order for the meds the pharmacy won't fill and the pharmacist told me that it is illegal to get narcotic pain meds mailed in Florida. I just had a script filled by mail in March, does anyone know if they changed that law? I know a lot of new regulations went into effect April 1st. Like Dr. cannot up your dose or quanity of certain meds after 4/1, many other state and federal changed too that don't apply to pain meds but I am just concerned about ha...

I was in a car accident a while back, and broke my back in two places. I've been living in constant, sharp pain ever since, and it seems to have gotten worse recently. I live in central Florida, and am searching for a pain management doctor in my area. In the past, I have been prescribed methadone, oxycodone, hydrocodone, etc. from my pain management doctor, but that has been several years ago, and I have moved since then. No insurance right now. ## Northeast Florida health services Inc 844 west Plymouth ave Deland fl 386-738-2422 This is a county clinic that does offer pain management. I was too sick to reapply. Was taking 30-40 mg of Methadone per day for chronic, severe pain. Dr lost his controlled substance license and I was left "out in the cold" per se. Now..hurt so bad..quality of life is nil. Haven't ever Dr shopped so don't know what to do! My pain is from Scoliosis..Osteoporosis & fx of the back from the latter. ## Hs your doctor given you any referral suggestions? While I am sure there are pain management centers in your area, there is no way of knowing, ahead of time, what they may prescribe, if anything, to treat your condition. It would also help if you posted certain specific cities, or towns, so others might be able to make suggestions. Does anyone have advice to add? ## Have you found any help,I'm in the same situation and it makes me mad that people who a...

I have new health insurance due to my husband's new health insurance so I am seeing a new pain mgmt. doctor and I am terminal and just want to stay on the narcotic regimen that finally works and apparently they want to use this to try non-narcotic regime so I don't qualify for this alternative therapy. I'm dying for goodness sakes! ## Hi Brynn, Does this new pain management doctor not treat any of his patients under a narcotic regimen? It sounds like they should give people a choice in the matter; especially if certain qualifications need to be met for alternative therapy to begin. If you need help locating a new PM doctor in your general area, you can always ask them for a referral to someone else who is willing to use that form of treatment. Additionally, you can input you...

Hi, I've been having migraines everyday of the week. the most severe migraines generally occur 2x a week or so. My neurologist has tried me on Tramadol, Nadolol, Fioricet, Fiorilan, Propranolol, Topamax, Excedrine, Ibuprophen, Aceteminophen, you name it! Nothing seems to knock it out unless I go into a deep sleep (I'm talking 7 hours+) because a 3-hour nap won't knock it out. I need to know of any pain doctors in the manalapan/freehold/morganville/old bridge (central jersey area) that are willing to understand where my pain is coming from. The only thing that I've tried before that has knocked it out is oxycodone. I hear it's very addictive, but I'm not a drug addict I just need to knock out this pain! If anyone could pleaseeee help me with my situation. My neuro...

I have just lost my pain doctor in Central Virginia that I had for 14 years. I am looking for a good honest doctor that can help me. I am on 15 types of meds for different health issues such as fibromyalgia, chronic back and neck pain, depression, asthma, RSD, diverticulitis and more. Please advise if you know of a good pain management doctor ## Hello, Garfield! How are you? I'm very sorry that you've run into such a problem. Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, they might be able to refer you to a good doctor. Most aren't going to be willing to treat all of your conditions, so you'll likely need to see several specialists. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?

However, your doctor does know what he's doing and he did the right thing by ordering the x-ray. Due to the layout of nerves in our bodies, pain can radiate. Thus, there's a very good chance that it could be due to arthritis starting in your spine, but you may feel pain in your buttocks. Basically, your nerves stem from one central location, which is...
