The rash is on my forarms, shins and thys, and belly. Please advise. ## Hello, Sam! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Should I double up on probiotics when taking cefpodoxime to protect my digestive tract? ## The FDA lists the typical side effects of Cefpodoxime as possibly including nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. As to the probiotics, while they can help, there is always a risk of taking too much of a good thing, thus it is best to stick with the normal dosage, if you are going to take one. Recent NIH studies have found complications in people that are overusing them. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is cefpodoxime & potassium clavulanatem tablets and sodium fusidate cream effective for genital herpes ## Hello, Bobby! How are you? No, these are antibiotics that treat bacterial infections. Herpes is caused by a virus, so these will not do anything to treat it. As a matter of fact, many people tend to be allergic to such products, when they are used genitally, so you could end up just making yourself worse. There is no cure for herpes, either orally or genitally, but if you consult your doctor, they can prescribe medications to help suppress it and prevent outbreaks. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been put on 200mg of Cefpodoxime for life. I had an infected TKR (knee replacement) and infection was not stopped. I have had now my third TKR and the doctor has put me on this antibiotic.
