Hello lovely people! Can Gentilax cause cancer? Ive been taken these lax every night for the past 4 yrs. Never had an issue with them, they work amazing. But am scared that in the future it can hurt me in some way. Like cologne cancer or mess up my intestines. ## No, it cannot cause cancer. That is when the greatest risk was found, though more research is needed to be sure of that and it seemed only relevant to calcium channel blockers, according to JAMA and the studies they have already compiled. Thus, if you are concerned, you could always speak to your doctor about trying a medication that is in a different class, such as a beta blocker. Is this the only medication you are taking?

I'll be 84yrs.old in a few weeks and weigh 87lbs. Have been diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. Dr. had to look real hard to find it, no lump detected but advised surgery and lymph node removal and radiation. I've been looking on the web and I think I have a bigger chance of dying from other causes than breast cancer at my age and weight. I'm active (golf twice a week) and healthy now and don't think I would be after surgery. Anyone else in this situation or has been? ## Really, at your age both the surgery and cancer treatments are likely to be more rough on you than the cancer itself. My sister is taking 10mg of morphne every 2 hours becuase she is dying of cancer is that a lot of morphne ## It depends first on her age, and what all other meds she is on ## No thanks I am usually pretty up on my pharma, but, I haven't took these in a long time so I couldn't remember. Mylan was the first company that popped into my head. I like the company brand. ## Also, when someone has a terminal condition that causes pain, narcotics will not hasten their death, so the doctor's goal is to just make her more comfortable. 10mgs is actually a very low dose for someone with pain from terminal cancer.

My father has been diagnosed with lung cancer that metastasized to the brain. First symptoms were loss of control over righ hand and claw like posture of fingers. HE was prescribed dexamethasone to reduce swelling in the brain resulting from metastasis. Stereotactic radio surgery (radiation focused on the metastasis only) was performed to treat brain metastasis. Took my first Prolia shot 4 days ago. I am having severe jaw pain. Most people can hear my jaw moving and it feels and sounds like it is cracking. I am going to report to FDA and of course make an appointment with my dentist. I just finished treatment for breast cancer and have to take an aromatase inhibitor for 5 years which causes weakining of bones which is why they prescribed Prolia. how can I get my doctor to prescribe 160 mg oxycontin? ## There are no 160mg Oxycontin tablets, the maximum available is 80mgs, so you could only total 160mgs in a day, taking them every 12 hours. And, unless you have a possibly terminal condition that causes intractable pain, such as stage 4 cancer, it is highly unlikely that any doctor will prescribe the maximum dosage, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness, headache and constipation.
