can the above subject tablet be cut in half ## Usually if there is a score line (divid) embedded into the tablet, it means the manufacturer purposely made it so patients could easily cut it in half. Whether or not there is a score line, I would still feel safe cutting the pill in half if the drug itself is not in extended-release form. It is my own understanding that some extended-release pills loose their time sustaining properties if cut in half, depending on whether or not it is a capsule or a tablet; but please correct me if I'm wrong on that. Also, if you consistently feel the need to use half a dose it may be wise to talk to your doctor sooner than later about getting a lower dose of the medication. I am writing this thread forum to discuss the shortage on soma and carisoprodol. Recently even the best pharmacies in my area are completely out of soma. Had to wait a week just to get my second best preferred soma 350mg generic. I had to settle for Jubliant Cadista Pharma generics which are the imprinted OP 35 white tablets. I have been on the Watson formulation for over 5 years which are imprinted DAN 5513. Luckily when Activas Elizabeth / Mayne Pharma acquired Watson Pharma then of which now Teva Pharma has acquired Activas medications. Activas was smart as they kept the Watson formulation of soma and dispensed the watson generic formulation. I've been taking soma / carisoprodol off and on for 22 years. When I first took it, I was told to take two 350 mg at bedtime, and it was too much and I nicknamed it Coma! Later I learned that when I first start taking soma after not taking it for a long time to only take 1/4 tab, or even a bit less. Later I can take more as needed, but starting out 1/4 or even 1/8th helps when I haven't take it for a very long time. Are pro soma Any good and are they better than pain o soma ? I've taken dans, v's, etc. ## In my findings, both "pro-soma" and "pain-o-soma" contain the same active ingredient (Carisoprodol) in 350mg to 500mg dosage strengths. Other dosages may be available as well but those are the two options I'm presently aware of for these specific brand names. That said, I don't see why one would work any better or worse than the other unless certain inactive ingredients affected their bioavailability. Nevertheless, because we all react/respond differently to the same meds, trial and error may be only way to find out for certain which one works best for you. Is there a rebate card available for Soma? I have ins. but it's still an expensive co-pay. ## Um I get 90 pills for about $1.92, Soma is very inexpensive, on the Walmart $4.00 list ## I have a pinched nerve in my left shoulder and it goes across and down my back causing my muscle to stand up on my shoulder and it's painful and burns. Just received my refill of soma 350mg but they look different than the ones I am used to getting from the same pharmacy. No read out was put in the bag. The white round pill had a SG 109 on one side & blank on the other side. Anybody ever heard of these before? Because, since there was no print out of the new different medication I was a little worried, "what if the pharmacist made a little error in mine & somebody else's medications". My doctor has recently become hesitant to give me Soma with the combined drugs and wants me to use a different Muscle Relaxer. I filled a prescription for 350 mg Carisoprodol Pain-O-Soma and can't tell if they are for real or not - they are plain white pills with no imprint on one side and a vertical line on the other side. Just want to know if they are pure or cut with aspirin? They came from India in prepackages of 10 each.
