I have had a cough and cold for a week, so my dr gave me meds and 1 of those is fluimucil. I finished my 7 days worth of meds but still have a dry cough. My dr. was out so I have been taking an over the counter med - carbocisteine, but I still have the fluimucile. I have the flu. Can I take solmux and alaxan at the same time for flu treatment? If so, how many times a day? ## Solmux contains Carbocisteine and is use to treat cough that is due to excessive sticky phlegm, Alaxan contains Paracetamol and Ibuprofen, it is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. The NIH liss the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation. How many times do I have to take Solmux? And for how many days do I need to take these capsules? Please advise. The dosage and administration guidelines for this medication state the following: For adults and children over age 12, one capsule of Carbocisteine (Solmux) should be taken with food every 8 hours. I couldn't locate information pertaining to the length of time one should be taking this, but I would suggest contacting your local pharmacy about that, since it could depend on how severe the condition is. is solmux 500 mg advisable for dry cough? ## i have severe dry cough and treated it with so many way but it become worst than expected.
