I have bought the canalba cream for internal use not external. they gave me the one that says I only apply where it is burnt only, but I'm not sure if I bought the correct cream. Do you know where I can find the internal and external cream?

Started out with a gum infection and started taking amoxicillin 2 days ago. Went to the dentist and found out I had a root infection under my crown. He said he fixed that today and just take Tylenol since I'm pregnant. However, few hours later and I'm still in severe pain and can't touch the tooth. Is it normal for the actual tooth to hurt this much still? I figured I'd get a little relief. ## It may take a few days for all of the symptoms of the infection to go away, according to NIH reports, as well as my own experience. Are you still taking the antibiotic? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Has there been any change? If not, you may need to return to your dentist.

I have been taken amoxicillin for my bottom molar for a week now.. Just got finish with the antibiotic... The pain are gone but when I bite down it feel a little funny... My question is do I still need a root canal done ? ## Hello, Nary! How are you? Yes, you still need to see your dentist and have this problem corrected. Otherwise, the infection will just keep returning, because the roots of the tooth are still exposed and it's very easy for bacteria to get in, which will cause another infection and more pain. An antibiotic only treats the bacteria that cause the infection, it doesn't correct the underlying problem with the tooth that allowed the infection to occur. Typical side effects to antibiotics, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-...

I have a infection under an old root canal. Dentist sent me to Endo who opened the tooth redid the root canal packed it and gave my amoxicillin 500x3 day. Pain the next day was so bad I went back to Endo and he took out the packing to let it drain. Went back two days later and he repacked the tooth. The packing fell out the same day and I had to leave the country for two weeks. I am scheduled to see a Endo when I get back to fill the root canal, I am now a week in and in Mexico and can’t bite without severe pain. Don’t know what to do. ## While I understand that the best option is to save a tooth, if possible, you might be at the point where an extraction might be your best bet to do away with the pain and recurring issues. Was the tooth ever capped? Once a root canal is don...

issues surfaced with a tooth that was absessed, required a root canal. This was nearly three years ago. Severe pain occured 24 hours ago, saw dentist, may need tooth extracted. Was given 7.5/325 hydrocodone acetaminoph. I have taken two tablets. Pain persists. May I take ibuprofen with diphenhydramine in combinations with hydrocodone? ## Hi monica, Sorry to hear about your tooth abscess! Though, if something as strong as hydrocodone isn't helping with your pain, I'd have to wonder if the doctor made the right call on giving you pain meds instead of antibiotics for an infected tooth, since that's not necessarily something hydrocodone or any pain medication is supposed to help with. In my opinion, antibiotics would probably help with the pain more so than anything else, becaus...

Claymidicine root canal done week ago this is my 3rd antibiotic. Swellen still there. Barley open jaw. ## Root canals can be very complicated procedures that can easily become infected. Has there been any change, yet? What was the first antibiotic prescribed? The FDA lists the typical side affect for Clindamycin as possi...

Just had a root canal. I took 1 hydrocodone 7.5/325 mg and 800 mg of ibuprofen and I'm still in a lot of pain. What else can I do? ## Stacy, Not much, it may take time for the trauma of the root canal therapy to subside. I highly doubt your dentist can or will rx anything stronger. Did they order an antibiotic? Rinsing with warm water may assist as well. Try to rest. The medication sometimes needs time to thoroughly provide relief. If all else fails follow up with the dentist in the am. ## Thank you. I was on one antibiotic but she added another one and a steroid because I wasn't getting any pain relief. Also, my cheek on the same Side as root canal was red and hot to the touch. Since starting additional meds I'm finally feeling some relief. ## Stacy, That's awesome I...

I cant get to the dentist as have hpspital appointment tomorrow. I have some trimethoprim left from a urinary inection last year, can I use these til the Thursday or Friday when I can go to the dentist. Or should I just wait..worried it will get worse. ## Actually, it isn't likely to help, because Trimethoprim has a very small number of bacteria that it is effective at treating and they are not usually the ones that cause such dental infections. Learn more Trimethoprim details here. Have you called the dentist yet?

My post crown broke. The crown been in 3 years had root canal when crown put in.. The upper gum is real sore, no insurance. Is the soreness a possible infection and will CEFDINIR help till get money to have fixed.I called dentist and they will not use my crown to save cost so I can afford to get it fixed???? ## Without seeing it, it is hard to say, but there is a chance that it is infection and requires an antibiotic. The FDA lists typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. There is no way they can promise that they can use the existing crown, because it might not be viable to do so, the tooth may need to be extracted. Do you have an emergency dentist in your area that can check it out for you?

I have a white bar shaped pill, that says canal mo.jm on one side and has 3 splits on the other side and the number 2. Is it a good brand to get as a refill? ## How long does xanax take to be metabolized by your body? ## @lee, The only legitimate 2mg Xanax bars I'm finding are white with the letters X|A|N|A|X on one side and a large number "2" on the other. I have to yet to come across any pill whatsoever with the marking "canal mo.jm" as you described it. So unless anyone can verify it through personal experience, I would probably write this one off as being fake. Just out of curiosity though, where abouts did you get this pill from? @batman (post #1), As far as the elimination half-life goes, from what I've read, it can remain in your bloodstream for roughly 6-...

I feel like my bite has been affected let alone I can't chew on that side of my mouth. I'm also told my wisdom tooth will need to be pulled which is right next to crown awaiting tooth. I feel like from this point on my mouth will not feel Normal again. ## Hi Driver, Sorry to hear about your tooth pain. Dental related pain always seems to be some of the most concerning, since it's in such a sensitive area. Have you talked to your dentist about prescribing any sort of pain reliever (such as Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen) to help alleviate most of the pain in the mean time, so you can at least enjoy your food? It just may be that you have to have more of a liquid diet until the procedure is said and done. As far as the infection goes, I personally suggest looking into a natural r...

However, the relevant question is what are her doctors doing to treat it? You're really not going to find anyone online that is qualified to suggest treatments, her doctor is really the best person for doing that. Does she take any medications for it currently?

I had a root canal competed on August 4th. I now need the filling replaced on my crown. Can I have the filling completed and receive a reclast inj. the following week? ## Hello, Mac! How are you? It would be best to double check with your doctor, since Reclast can cause some dental problems and there is a risk of your developing osteonecrosis of the jaw, as listed by the FDA. Many people are told to take care of any dental health issues, prior to starting Reclast, but I'm not sure how long they need to be separated. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, vomiting, weight loss, numbness and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

My mom had ear canal imbalance, due to which she cannot hear from one ear. She was operated on so that her other ear could be saved. Thereafter she has had vertigo.... in which she gets very bad dizziness which imbalances her and she can fall down. She cannot look down for the same reason. She has been taking certain tablets (first 8mg then 16 mg)....however there is no improvement at all. I am very disappointed as she is suffering a lot and not getting cured. Please help me. ## Hello, Goldy! How is your mom doing? What medication was she taking? Is it hard to make any suggestions without knowing what she has already tried. Do you happen to have Bonine or Dramamine available there? Both of them are options that may help with these types of issues. The U.S. FDA lists their typical side e...

I have a crown which has a root canal done in it. I grind my teeth really bad and was told that I fractured the root canal. I keep getting an absess pocket which I can express myself. I do not have any real pain probably because I can release the pressure. I have taken left over antibiotics (yes, I know I shouldnt!)(IC Sulfamethoxazole and Pen VK at different times). I do not have health or dental insurance and am at a loss of what to do. ## The cheapest solution for you, since you don't have insurance, would most likely be to just have the tooth pulled. And the best suggestion I can make for that is to check around you area and see if there are any low income dental clinics, or if there are any dental schools. They usually have sliding fee scales, so you can have it extracted much ...

I went for a root canal procedure and my jaws got locked and am unable to open it properly and am in severe pain. Visited a specialist thereafter, who prescribed 5 days medicine aciloc 2 times, ceftas as 250 2 times, zymogesic 3 times, and Thiopas a4. Inspite of taking medicine 3 days no relief, in very bad state am virtual on liquid diet.

I just had a root canal for one of my teeth and the treatment is still going on for another tooth. My dentist directed me to take Sumo (nimesulide 500 mg + paracetamol 100 mg) and Droxil 500 mg two times a day for as many days long as the treatment is going on. As a result of this, I often feel weak and drowsy. Do these medications have any side effects? Are there any other safer alternatives to these medications?
