I took 2 Naproxen 200mg earlier today. Can i take 2 Tylenol tabs for a slight headache? ## Since both medications can be used to treat the same conditions, it is best not to combine them, unless your doctor instructs you to do so. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. How are you doing? Was there any change to the headache? Are you on any other medications?

Can I take Tylenol rapid relief with naproxen? Just had meniscus surgery and they gave me naproxen to take. Not cutting it for the pain in my thigh!!! I heard of Tylenol rapid relief and I'm hoping I can take naproxen with it since it works so fast? ## They can. both be taken, if your doctor approves of you doing so, sometimes they Acetaminophen, and an NSAID are given together to help better control pain, and swelling. Ref: Naproxen and Acetaminophen Information You may also experience side effects, according to FDA reports, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased risk of bleeding. I have had a couple of neck surgeries may need another and am waiting on 2nd hand surgery. My hand is killing me so I took a Naproxen 550mg and I was wondering if I can also take a Tylenol #4 at the same time. ## Hello, Tonya! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, so it should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA classifies Tylenol 4 as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The typical side effects for Naproxen may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Tylenol with Codeine Acetaminophen + Codeine

Codeine/paracetamol, also known as codeine/acetaminophen and co-codamol, is a compound analgesic consisting of a combination of codeine phosphate and paracetamol (acetaminophen). Co-codamol tablets are used for the relief of mild to moderate pain when paracetamol or NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, aspirin or naproxen alone do not sufficiently relieve a patient's symptoms, or where their use is ill-advised. In 2019, it was the 173rd most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more...

I took 15 naproxen and 4 Tylenol last night and I feel fine. I'm just scared I caused permanent damage to my body, what should I do? ## You should report this to your doctor, as soon as possible. It would be best to have them do some blood work, that way if there is a problem arising from this overdose, it can be caught early and corrected. How are you feeling, now?

Am I Able To Take Codeine #3, If I'm Allergic To Penicillin&Amox? And Am I Able To Take Naproxen ? ( Seperatly ) ## Yes. Codiene # 3 is Codeine 30 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg and is used for pain relief. Naproxen is an nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to reduce inflammation and lower fever. Penicillin and amoxicillin are antibotics and are used to treat infections. Being allergic to Penicillin and amoxicillin has nothing to do with Codiene # 3 and narpoxen. ## Codeine #3 IS NOT 30mg of codeine. That is actually called Tylenol #3 with codeine. Please be careful what you read on here! Codeine comes in 2.5, 5, 7 mg, etc. This reply was shocking to read,v and I hope that wasn't an actual doctor replying. ## I believe the person who said Codeine 3 meant Tylenol...

I am taking 500 mg. of naproxen, with 500 mg. of metamizol sodico and tylenol. I am worried about any drug interactions. this would be short term use for a bad back spasm. ## Oddly enough, I'm not finding any specific drug interaction details relating to Metamizole or its brand names. I'm assuming this may be a foreign medication, as that would explain why it's not listed in U.S. drug interaction checkers. However with regards to Naproxen and Tylenol, there are no drug interactions listed between the two. So I get the sense that you should be fine taking those together. Is your current doctor the one who prescribed Metamizole with the other two medications? If not, you may want to double check with him/her just to be on the safe side. I hope this helps!

i took 5 ip190/500 pills (naproxen) by mistake will i be ok. Thought they were tylonol. Took 3 then two hours later took two. ## Hello, Stew! How are you feeling? That is over the recommended daily dose and you shouldn't take that much Tylenol, either. It is actually the more dangerous of the two. Have you consulted your doctor? You should do so, as they may want to check for possible liver damage.

I get all my prescription meds from the VA Hosp.in Muskogee,Ok. Thank You so much and God Bless You & Yours, Johnny ## Well, there are several on this list that can cause nausea and vomiting, such as the Codeine, Acetaminophen and the Simvastatin. Plus, the more you take, especially all at once, the worse the possible side effects are going to be. Have you tried spacing them out more? Or perhaps asking your doctor for something to help prevent the nausea and vomiting?

Is it ok for me to take one hydrocodone/Tylenol 325 and 2 OTC naproxen. ## Yes, as long as you can take Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. ## Hello, Alicia! How are you? You should check with your doctor, before mixing them, actually. It is generally okay to do so, but can be contraindicated in some instances. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I'm taking 500 mg naproxen and 2each apap/codiene #3 300/30 for sciatic nerve pain. I'm Still in Pain! What can I take in addition to this combination without putting myself in further health risks? (I have Tramadol, Alieve and arthritis strength Tylenol on hand) ## Hello, Frances! How are you? Are you sure that it's sciatic? It's kind of funny, but given all of my knowledge of medications, side effects, and etc. I didn't know until recently, when my husband mentioned it, that sometimes the sacral area is thought to be related to the same area, and he was right. Totally changed how I handle the pain. As to the medications, given how much you've already taken, you need to consult your doctor, because it looks like you might need a stronger medication to alleviate ...

I'm researching pain meds for my knee pain after a replacement. ## Naproxen is an nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Naproxen is the generic name for Aleve, The difference is that Aleve is OTC because it is only 220 mg and Naproxen is prescription because it is 500 mg. Vicodin is a combination of hydrocodone and tylenol. Hydrocodone is a narcotic and can be addicting. You must have a prescription to get Vicodin. ## @original post, No, Naproxen is not stronger than Vicodin. Although it could probably compare to the acetaminophen in Vicodin, the hydrocodone is still a far more potent pain reliever in and of itself. If you're unsure of which medication to take for pain relief, I think it would be wise to ask your doctor/surgeon for their opinion on what might be most appropriate for y...

Can a Ciprofloxacin HCL 500mg tablet be taken with Naproxen EC 500mg? ## Hello, Bridget! How are you? And no, these two should not be taken together, unless your doctor has specifically told you it's safe for you to do so. Combining the Naproxen with the antibiotic can increase the risk of seizures, though it isn't known why they have this interaction. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Well, he did take the two, but not at the same time. This was done for like 5 days. He was in tremendous pain with his ears and tylenol did not touch the pain. The doctor recommended the tylenol. Would something like Advil been better? He is ok. No seizures. Thank you.

I've took meloxicam for five days for a toothache and discontinued use two days ago I'm having pain again is it ok to take a ibuprofen ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? It should be fine, as long as your prescriber approves. It's usually taking them at the same time, together, that may cause problems, according to the NIH, such as liver damage, liver failure, increased risk of bleeding, stomach irritation, and stomach ulceration. When are you having the tooth fixed? ## I just started taking meloxicam 15mg daily (supposed to be for a month for plantar fasciatis on both heels). The doctor specifically told me to stop taking ibuprofen, naproxen or any other NSAID. He said I can take tylenol. So, I would check with the doctor who prescribed the meloxicam.
