Can You Take Hydrocodone Every 3 Hours

Have kidney stone and was prescribed Hydro/Apap 5-325. Says to take 1 tablet every six hours. Took half a tablet four hours ago because a whole tablet was making me sick and dizzy. Half a tablet is doing nothing at this point, so can I take tylenol after four hours or do I have to wait until six hours? ## Can I you take zolnoks 10mg half tab every 6 hours throughout the day and night? Just had surgery for a hernia. I was prescribed Norco 5/325, take 2 every four hours. Can I take 1 every 2 hours so I don't get that "Narcotic" feeling? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? I have gallbladder pain and in taking 5/325 one bottle from hospital says take every 4 hours.. and my bottle from Doctor with same dosage says take every 6 hours I'm in pain I took my last ones at 7 pm cN I take more now??? If your personal physicians only recommend 1 tablet every 4 or 6 hours I wouldn't exceed a total of 6 in a 24 hour period.If your pain level is so unmanageable you might consider being re-evaluated since a change in condition may have occurred . My elderly mother has shingles and was give hydrocodone 5mg with 325 mg acetaminophen. Can i give her half a tablet every three hours instead of a full tablet every six hours to cut down on the possibility of dizziness and falling? ## You need to wait 4 hrs because of the tylenol. ## And it really should be dosed as prescribed by her doctor. Has she experienced dizziness from it? If so, you could try giving her half a tablet every 4 to 6 hours, if her doctor approves. my husband was givin reprexain 10-200 mg one every 6 hours but he is still hurting bad can he take 2 at a time ## Has he consulted his doctor about it? This contains Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen and the maximum dose of Hydrocodone that's usually given at oce is just the 10mgs, it is very potent narcotic, so I wouldn't suggest increasing the dosage, without a doctor's approval. ## Your husband can absolutely take 2 at a time I don't know why people are saying not to. I am 215lbs and I sometimes take 3 at once when I'm in a lot of pain. What you need to be most mindful of is how much acetiminphen he is taking per day. Keep that under 2500mg and he will be fine and feeling great!

I suffer from cervical stenosis and severe back pain that may require surgery. I am also suffering from a mental illness/deep depression/anxiety. I take several meds for the latter. I had been prescribed hydrocodone 5/325 every six hours, and that worked great for my pain, and I didn't sleepy. Now since changing Pain Mgmt Specialist, he prescribes OxyContin 10mg 2x a day, and this makes me so sleepy, especially with all of my other medications. This new doctor said hydrocodone was not good to take with my mental illness, but he gives me OxyContin? I don't get it, clearly the OxyContin is worse for me if I'm sleepy all the time, at least I could function and stay awake on hydrocodone. I don't know what to do, my physiatrist has even written a letter stating the hydrocodon...

Hey, i got these pills today from walgreens and i have taken 3 so far and still no affect on my pain. Has anyone else had this same problem because idk of they took most of the hydro out of these new pills but there's definitely something wrong. Just started using hydrocodone apap tab5mg-325. This first dose I took is 2 pills at 12 noon. The bottle instructions say you can take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. It is now 3:15 pm and it feels like the hydro pills, made by Amneal are just about finished. The pills I have been taking prior to this are oxycodone, Mallinckrodt, acetaminophen 5-325 and I take 1 pill every 6 hours. This is OXY condone, NOT HYDRO codone made by Amneal. I could be wrong, but I think this is mainly due to the concerns associated with Acetaminophen and liver toxicity. From my own personal experience, it should be fine to take a half a pill more, as they do make a stronger norco with 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen.
