hydrocodone every 2 hours
Just had surgery for a hernia. I was prescribed Norco 5/325, take 2 every four hours. Can I take 1 every 2 hours so I don't get that "Narcotic" feeling? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? Yes, you should be able to do that, but you should double check with your doctor to be sure. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Can You Take 2 Hydrocodone 10 200at The Same Time
my husband was givin reprexain 10-200 mg one every 6 hours but he is still hurting bad can he take 2 at a time ## Has he consulted his doctor about it? This contains Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen and the maximum dose of Hydrocodone that's usually given at oce is just the 10mgs, it is very potent narcotic, so I wouldn't suggest increasing the dosage, without a doctor's approval. ...

How Often can One Take Hydrocodone 10/325mg Tabs?
I have severe chronic back pain. A neurosurgeon prescribed Hydrocodone 10/325mgs tablets to be taken every 8 hours. I am finding that my pain diminishes 1 to 1/2 hour after taking one tablet. Can I take 1 tablet more often, i.e., every four hours? ## Have you consulted your doctor, or the neurosurgeon? Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodin, is a narcotic opiate pain medication, so while there are times it is appropriate to take it more often, sometimes as often as every 6 hours, you should not do so, without checking with your physician. Learn more about Vicodin Details ## I agree with Verwon. Talk to your doctor. You should not increase your medication dosage without his express consent. If you find the Hydrocodone 10/325mgs isn't controlling your pain a... ...

Hydrocodone5/500
My husband has a prescription for hydrocodone 5/500. How often can he take it for back pain? Like every 4 hours? Or 6 hours or what? He doesn't use it much and can't remember the frequency. Thank you for any help! ## This is a generic for Vicodin or Lortab, which contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone and the directions are usually to take it every 4 to 6 hours, as needed. Since it has the Acetaminophen in it, there is also usually the caveat in the directions to not exceed 8 of them in any 24 hour period and not to combine it with any other medications containing Acetaminophen. Learn more Vicodin details here. How is he feeling? ...

HYDROCODONE-APAP
YELLOW SOLUTION LIQUID HYDROCODONE-APAP. IT IS A GENERIC FORM OF VICADON ## I was prescribed this stuff for pain relief after a tonsilectomy...bottle reads: 400 HYDROCODONE/ SOL APAP Take 2-4 teaspoonfuls every four hours as needed. My question is, is there a way to tell how many milligrams each of hydrocodone/acetominophen per teaspoon? I am concerned about the APAP as we all know it is toxic to the liver in high doses and would like to know how much is in each dose I take so I can monitor it. I am assuming the 400 on the bottle corresponds to that, but I don't know how it applies (ex. per teaspoon, or per reccomended dose of 2-4 an hour). Seems to me its a lot harder to find info on ratio of hydro. to APAP in liquid form, wheras it is almost common knowlege for the tablet-forms. I... ...

Hydrocodone error?
Just started using hydrocodone apap tab5mg-325. This first dose I took is 2 pills at 12 noon. The bottle instructions say you can take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. It is now 3:15 pm and it feels like the hydro pills, made by Amneal are just about finished. The pills I have been taking prior to this are oxycodone, Mallinckrodt, acetaminophen 5-325 and I take 1 pill every 6 hours. This is OXY condone, NOT HYDRO codone made by Amneal. Are they different strengths? The HYDRO seems weaker. Whats the difference between the two? And should they be interchangeable? ## It does require 7.5mgs of the Hydrocodone to be equal to the 5mg Oxycodone you were taking, because the Oxycodone is stronger. However, it may simply be that the Hydrocodone just doesn't work for you. Learn more Vicodin ... ...

Hydrocodone Syrup
i have a headache that seems to not respond to any pain medicine, but when i take hydrocodone alone, i get a little relief, is taking one spoon of hydrocodone every 4hours too much? ## What is the dosage of the syrup and what has your doctor advised? It is usually taken every 4 to 6 hours, as needed, but it really depends on the dosage, your tolerance and whether or not it also contains Acetaminophen, since too much of it in any 24 hour period can be toxic. ...

hydrocodone 10/500
pink, 3600 on one side, V on the other ## The drug you got was a generic lortab. Lortabs are like vicodin but a lil bit stronger. He gave you a dosage of 10/500 which means 10mg of hydocodone and 500 mg of actemiphin(tylenol) I just had hip surery a month ago and my surgen gave me that. It works great for pain, your pretty silly when your on it but it does work!!! The only problems I had was I was constipated for the first week after surgery. But I had all the dripps in my iv and plus they were giving one or two pill every 3-4 hours , along with the delotin that I had in my iv And I was told to continue 1 pill every three ours. while I was out of the hospital, and I did. The one thig about these is if you take too many in a day you stomach may get upset side effects with these types of ... ...

Hydrocodone Apap 7.5-325
I had a tooth extraction yesterday, been taking I norco 7.5-325 regularly since; took one pill an hour ago and the pain is still unbearable, can i take one more or even half a pill more? ## Hi Ryan, Generally with this type of drug the dosing instructions indicate that you should take 1 pill every 4-6 hours or so. I could be wrong, but I think this is mainly due to the concerns associated with Acetaminophen and liver toxicity. From my own personal experience, it should be fine to take a half a pill more, as they do make a stronger norco with 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. So it would be as if you're taking the stronger version of the drug. Learn More: Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone I hope this helps! ## Actually, if the pain is still that bad, after having had the to... ...

Hydrocodone' s effect on Coumadin intake
Does this Amneal tablet have a side effect of changing my coumadin number if I take 1 pill at once, or 2 pills at once.? Am having trouble adjusting Warferin level. Intake hydrocodone/apap tab 5 mg-325 mg, Amneal, 1-2tabs every 6 hours. ## Along with the Hydrocodone, that APAP stands for Acetaminophen and it can have some slight blood thinning properties, so that may be causing some problems. hydrocodone apap 5325 tablitp
i had orthoscopy on my left knee dec. 11. the doc prescribed norco for pain. however, my insurance says if there's a generic for any drug then that's what'll be substituded. they changed prescription to hydrocodone-pap 5-325 tablitp. the doctor told me to take the med. every 4 to 6 hrs. in order to control the pain better.the problem is i take the med. every 4 hours & it's not doing the job i understood i'd experience. my knee & leg hurts so much on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst. it's a 9. i'm wondering if i'd be able better relife by taking (2) 500 mg. i've been up 2hrs & 20 min. thank u ## They gave you the same medication, Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone is exactly what Norco contains, this is just the generic version rather than... ...

Hydrocodone Apap 10 200 Ib
Is this amount of medicine dangerouss? ## Is taking a 10/200 Hydrocodone pill dangerous to my body ## The usual adult dosage for Vicodin (Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen) is one or two tablets every four to six hours as needed for pain. The total daily dosage should not exceed 8 tablets according to the dosing and administration guidelines for this medication. If you are taking more than you need, then the Acetaminophen can certainly cause damage to your liver over a period of time. That said, I would strongly suggest sticking to the dosing schedule that your doctor or pharmacist recommended for you. If they didn't advise a dosing regime for you, I would personally stick to the usual adult dosing schedule listed above. Dosages should also be adjusted by your doctor according to the seve... ...

Hydrocodone after surgery
I have had two surgeries and on hydro.10mg|325 tabs. I have winged myself down to 1 every 12 hours. Ive noticed that after about 9 hours it seems like im catching a cold. I push myself to go the 12 hours. Once i take the med. im fine. I have probably been on them fo 3 months.. Really i may need a smaller dose but ill try taking maybe about 5 ibuprofen's for a little while. Is there a easier way to taper down, how can i taper down or do i just have to crawl under the sheets and die. I hate these pills, don't want something else controlling me. ## Sounds like you have been on them a while, The reason you feel like you have a cold is that your waiting to long to take one, if you want to tapper down start with the dose you were on, then your next dose wait an additional hour and so on... ...

Hydrocodone And Oxycodone
I had surgery in May for disc replacement in C5 and C6 and was taking 10-325mg of Norco for pain, on October 12th I had a disc replaced in L5-S1 and my surgeon put me on 10-325mg of Percocet and Valium 10mg. I have been depressed at home and went to my primary care doctor who prescribed 7.5-500mg of Lortab, I was taking the other meds 2 every 4 hours for pain and have been dropped to 1 Lortab every 4-6 hours, this is not controlling my pain, my doctor feels I have been taking the Percocet for too long, 2 months, he also took me off my Valium 10mg and changed it to Klonopin 1mg, half to 1 pill twice a day, I have been in a lot of pain for a few days now since changing dosages and feel anxious and depressed, is this acceptable or should I go talk to my surgeon again and have my meds chang... ...

Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 5 500 TB should i take it
I have ankylosing spondylitis. Got cortisone shots in my lumbar region and hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-500 tb and Tramadol ER 200mg from my rhuematologist . What is the Tramadol for? & Im starting a new job tomorrow not sure if i should.take either until i know how they may effect me. Should i wait till this weekend to start? ## The Tramadol is also an analgesic. Learn more Tramadol details here. And yes, I'd be very reluctant to start them at the same time as starting a new job, just to be on the safe side. I supposed you could try during your off hours, such as at night to see how they affect you, but you should be cautious, especially if you are sensitive to medications. I am and Tramadol caused me to vomit every time I took it, an effect which never wore off, so I had to sto... ...

is hydrocodone equivalent to
Hydroco/Apap sol 7.5-325 20 ml every 4-6 hours. What is this equal to in pill form? ## Hello, Heather! How are you? If that is the dosage in each 20ml of the liquid, then that would be equivalent to a 7.5/325mg tablet. Unless I am misunderstanding your question, if so, I do apologize and ask that you post back and clarify. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Norco details here. hydrocodone apap 5/500 TAB MCK
white pill with M357 printed on it ## M 357 is 5 mg Hydrocodone + 500 mg Acetaminophen. Manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. It's a narcotic pain reliever generic for Vicodin. ## Thank you Roy. I would just like to add that since this is a naroctic, it is highly addictive. ## I have a perscription for hydrocodone-apap 5-500 tab. my older bottle says to take 1 pill every 6 hours as needed. and this bottle says take 1 pill every 12 hours as needed.. im confused because its the same exact medication. i went to a different pharmacy, could that be why?? ## Andrea - could the ones you have now be extended release or something? hydrocodone/apap 7.5-500mg/15ml
My doctor prescribed the liquid hydrocodone/APA 7.5-500mg/15ml to me for pain. The pharmacy label says to take 1 TEASPOON every 6 hours. This seems unusual given that this dosage seems to be most often given in 15ml doses as opposed to the 5ml in a teaspoon. I took it as the label recommended and honestly can't tell a bit of difference. Is it possible that the pharmacy mislabeled? Based on what I have read, I should be safe to 15ml at a time, right? I sure would like to take the full dose tonight so I can finally get some rest. ## What does the pharmacy list for the dosing amounts in the 5ml? Did you check to see if they substituted? They sometimes do that if they don't have the dosing form that your doctor prescribed in stock. Have you called the pharmacy to ask? If they just m... ...

Hydrocodone Apap 5 500 1/2 tablet
My son takes 1/2 a tablet every 6 hours how much tylenol is he actually getting? ## If his tablets are 5/500's then a 1/2 tab is 250 of Tylenol and 2.5 of codeine. ## The active narcotic in this is Hydrocodone, so he'd be getting approximately 2.5mgs of it and approximately 250mgs of the Acetaminophen/Tylenol. And the reason I say approximately, is because when you cut, or break a pill, it is very hard to be precise, so the dosage could be a milligram, or two, one way or the other. Are there any other questions or comments? ...
