I have white coat and anxiety. My doctor has had me on Metoprolol 100mg succinate once a day and just switched me to 100mg tartrate twice a day since my BP was high in his office. If it's really only high, when you're in the doctor's office, a medication isn't necessary. Even an ER won't treat for that, they will only do so if levels are dangerously elevated. However I have noticed a number of reports from users taking this medication who experienced what they call a "pulsating/ringing/buzzing" sound in the ear.
