So I went to not being on it for 2 years and now im taking it Long acting morphine. The combination of the lyrica & ms contin (long acting morph.) took my pain away. the lyrica has me somewhat jumpy, like I hafta move it gave me an energy boost and with my conditions, I have chronic fatigue so i'm having great results beside the sulphur burps that smell and taste terrible has anyone experienced this? The brand of 75 mg is phizer but 2 -3 years ago there was only one brand Idk the name but I remember the Lyrica had lilly on the pill I didn't have this problem. Ive taken sulphur based medi...

What is better for nerve pain - Neurontin or Lyrica? I had surgery in both knees and an injection in my back. I also have osteoarthritis. ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? They have both been shown to be effective for some people, but the only way to see which one helps you is by trying one. They are both classified by the FDA as anticonvulsants that are approved to treat nerve pain and some mood disorders. Their typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Which one has your doctor recommended? ## Hi, Brenda; it may have taken me a while to come across your post but pregabalin (patent brand Pfizer LYRICA) is over twice the potency of gabapentin (Pfizer NEURONTIN). I personally can take neither - I was prescribed and titrated up to the m...

This may sound strange. I have been fighting middle back pain for 5 yrs. I see a pain mgmt. dr. and we have gotten all the way to Fentanyl patches. I take 175 Mcgm hrs. Nothing has helped. I have had Nuclear bone scans, Multiple MRI's, Nuerologists, Rhumotologists, EMG's Chiropractors, Been on Vicodin, Soma, Lyrica, Spinal Injections, Nerve blocks, Facet joint blocks, You name it!!! I saw a new nuerologist, and he wanted new MRI's with contrast this time. I told him that if it had to be closed MRI, then I would need sedation, cause I am chlostrophobic. So I did 3 MRI's with contrast, on 3 successive days. Upper, Middle, and then lower. They sedated me with a 10mg Valium each day before the MRI's. All of the sudden, after 5 yrs of nothing but pain in my middle back. I...

Hi, I had a gastric bypass op in 2004. Lost 75kg. I also suffer from lipoedema and have extra large legs/bottom half of legs and upper arms. Have a bad back, had cortisone injections in both sacroiliac joints. I get bloated/pain under left ribcage like a stitch in your side when you run and are unfit. I am petrified to pick up a weight or have swollen legs, yet was given Lyrica for the pain? I am very confused. Also on hrt and was given Salpraz for my stomach.

I was told that I had failed or had a incomplete on a urine test for a job. I'm not sure what COC test is, the only drugs I take are prescribed. Here is the list: Trilipix, vytorin, lovaza, lisinopril, baby aspirin, enbrel injection, metformin, victoza injection, synthroid, klor-con, lyrica, tramadol, lithium carbonate ER, trazodone, seroquel xr,hydroxyzine Pam, cipro, and phenazopyridine hydrochloride. Help could any of these cause me to fail? ## It would really be helpful if we knew what they meant by that, as in what you failed for, or what they mean by an incomplete. Did they provide you with any other details? There are many medications that can cause false positives, such as the Trazodone you are taking, it has been known to cause false positives for LSD and amphetamines. Did ...

I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis 8 years ago. I also have no L5S1 disc in my spine from an old car accident. I have chronic/constant neck spasms from the MS as well as from the spine spasms. I have tried valium, gabepenton, lyrica and flexeril. I had trigger point injections in my neck/shoulders. No relief at all. My Neuro wants to do another trigger point injection himself. But what is that going to do for the spasms in my back and the ones I get in my legs from time to time? He will not prescribe ANY pain medications. I requested Vicodin, since I had a short prescription from a busted blood vessel in my hip from my MS injectable medication that messed me up pretty bad. I actually felt half normal! It was great because I didn't feel "dopey", I was...

I live in near Aurora,IL. PLEASE SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW A DR. AROUND AURORA, IL OR W/IN 10 MILES OR SO THAT WILL REALIZE I'M NOT JUST TYING TO GET HIGH. I'VE TRIED AT LEAST 7 OR 8 DIFFERENT MEDS. THE NORCO10'S OR EVEN STRONGER (FEWER PER DAY), THAT DOESN'T MESS WITH MY STOMACH (NORCO DOESN'T, IT JUST TAKES AWAY THE PAIN), I'VE TRIED ALL THE OTHER NON NARCOTIC AND THEY DO NOT WORK OR I FEEL LIKE A WACK FROM DRUGS LIKE LYRICA. ***IF YOU CARE TO READ THE REST OF MY STORY****I have been an athlete all my life and just completed 2 Ironman Races 08' & 09' (2.4mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run) and 2 months after, no back pain, but extreme nerve/sciatic pain. I had gastric bypass in 2010 and am considered a rapid metabolizer for opiates. I have 5 herniated discs in my lower back and nerve disease and stay in constant pain. I have been to 9 pain management docs bc no one wants to take on my case and is scared to prescribed the amounts of medication I need to get through the day. I have tried physical therapy, injections and acupuncture all to no avail. I have a great doc now who is at least trying to help me and currently has me on dilaudid, soma, Lyrica, and suboxone patches most are three and six times daily. I have 5 children and that allows me to function daily with less pain than without. With the metabolizing issue I have no side effects or withdrawal symptoms when taken off, only with the soma I had to cut down to 1/2 of 350 mg 3 times...

I need help finding a new PM doctor in Maryland that will prescribe ongoing opiates. I have fibromyalgia and 2 herniated discs with left & right leg radiculopathy. I am currently taking Cymbalta 60mg, Percocet 10/325 (which barely helps and was just reduced to bid) and Gabapentin 300mg bid (which I'm coming off of bcuz of severe anxiety and mood swings). I was changed from Lyrica bcuz although it was helping with the pain it made me feel awful. My PM doctor had given me 3 steroid injections with each helping less than the first and now she trying to wean me off the Percocet bcuz she states I have been taking it for a year and the treatment plan has not helped. I am looking for a Dr in MD that will continue to prescribe my opioids and hopefully include a long-acting opioid into m...

I wanted to know if you can inject lyrica IV ## If it is not a product specifically made to be injected then doing so IS NOT safe. Capsules and tablets contain fillers and not all of these are meant to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled in your waste. If you try to dissolve it and inject it, then you are putting these fillers directly into your body and run the risk of creating clots and blockages, which could be fatal. You can also create blockages in your lungs if you try to snort these substances. Do you have any questions? ## ms contin also have filters and iv been doing them for years! dont all the good meds have a filter? ## have u ever tried to inject lyrica? ## Yes I have, didn't have effect. BUT have been injecting ms for years, still alive!! ...
