soooo i have had the jadelle for two and a half years now. im not to sure how it works really! um my period hasnt come for like almost 3months now i look like i am pregnant. i thought it was the jadelle koze it says that you gain weight while on it, I feel tiered all the time idk? what happens to the baby if you are pregnant and you have the jadelle??? last question: do you get pregnant and then the jadelle kills the baby, how does it work?? ## I am so very sorry that this was not properly explained to you. No, it does not kill the baby, it prevents you from becoming pregnant to begin with, so there is never a baby (fetus) to worry about. Basically, while using it, you do not drop an egg, so fertilization cannot occur. Weight gain and irregular periods can be a normal side effect it, ac...

I still have jadelle but it expired last year. I was having my normal periods but just this month i missed my period, having morning sickness, vomiting, painful breasts and period pains. So I took a pregnancy test 5 days after i missed my periods but it's still negative. Is it normal? I'm very worried. ## If the contraceptive has expired and you've been engaging in intercourse, then yes, there is a risk of pregnancy. 5 days might be too soon for it to be detected. However, all the symptoms you've described can be signs of pregnancy, according to the NIH. But, they can also be signs of hormonal fluctuations from it expiring and your body trying to balance your hormones back out on its own. Have you consulted your doctor? ## My Jadelle has expired since the 8th of Jan 2017...

I have baby fever and was wondering if its normal to take long to concieve. I have had regular periods too. ## Hi Lyz just wondering if you have had any luck yet with becoming pregnant? I also had the Jadelle removed in Feb since having it in for 5 yrs and have been trying to conceive since. I was on the jab 8 yrs ago, stopped and got pregnant with my son 2 months later. It seems a lot of women are having trouble conceiving after the Jadelle, is this something to be concerned about? ## Yes, it can take several months, after you stop any type of hormonal contraceptive, as reported by the NIH. Usually, women are advised to wait 3 to 4 months, anyway, after sto...

I started spotting 3 months after having jadelle inserted. It continued for 1 month and have stopped for 2 weeks now. I sometimes have strong stomach cramps and my body temperature has risen. Could I be pregnant? Pls help me. I am confused. ## I am 30 yrs old, I inserted Janelle 2 yrs ago. Then on the last day of my period I had intercourse. It was on the 2nd of august 2016. From that day on I didn't see my period again and now I'm not feeling myself. I'm vomiting, loosing weight, lacking appetite. Does that mean I'm pregnant? Plz help. ## The only way to know for sure is by having yourself checked for pregnancy, though it isn't very likely that you are, given that you have the Jadelle implant. Some women stop having periods, when using contraceptives, the U.S. FDA l...

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I had jandelle in for 3years. Had it removed in june 2016. Been trying to get pregnant. I have been told it can happen right away. But nothing yet? Is there something wrong with me? ## No, but it can take several months for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own, so that you begin to ovulate, according to the NIH. Other withdrawal effects, according to the U.S. FDA, may include irregular cycles for a few months, headaches, and irritability. Have you had any luck, yet? ## No luck yet. My period are irregular. Hi, I was wondering that if you were unprotected during intimacy a few days before having the Jadelle removed could you fall pregnant? ## Hello, Missy! How are you? If it had expired by the time you were intimate, then yes, there would be a risk of pregnancy. However, if it was still within its normal period of protection, then no. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Jadelle as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and irregular bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I had just got my rods removed just 5 days ago, when will the side effects of the rods go away? ## They should eventually go away, but it may take a month or more. It can take awhile for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own. How are you feeling? ## I remove mine la...

Hi everyone. So last week I went to get the jadelle removed but they only managed to get out one of the two implants. I had them both in for 5 years and one of them is really deep so I'm waiting on acc to approve of it being surgically removed.... Anyways, I was intimate with my partner without using protection 2 nights ago and was just wondering (if although I still have one rod in) whether I could be pregnant? ## Yes, there is a risk of pregnancy, not a very high one, but it is possible, especially if the implants are expired. The FDA lists the typical implant side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting, and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

I got jadelle about 2 months ago, haven't had my period, Ive had the urge to vomit and I did, I have a sore head. I have never vomitted out of nowhere, I urinate often and I'm so sleepy all the time. Am I pregnant? ## Hello, Jas! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. The only way to get an answer to your question would be by having yourself checked for pregnancy. Yes, there is a small chance that you may be pregnant, but you could also just be experiencing side effects from the hormone in Jadelle. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include dizziness, breakthrough bleeding and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi there, I've had Jadelle in for about 1 year and 5 months I've been experiencing p...

Hi there I am just wondering if I am still able to have babies I had the jadelle for 3 and a half years and have had It removed around december I then fell pregnant straight away which I miscarried at 8 week and 5 days I have been trying to conceive since with no success pls help ## Hello, BabyBoo! How are you? I'm sorry about your loss. Yes, it has no permanent effect on your fertility. However, your hormonal balance may be off, for awhile, after having it removed, which may explain the miscarriage and difficulty getting pregnant, again. Unless your doctor sees some reason to be concerned about a fertility issue, it will most likely just take time. Are you having regular periods? The FDA warns that they may be irregular for awhile, after having Jadelle removed and you may not ovula...

I've had the jadelle for a year now. It works so good! I get my period every 2 months like I'll have it for 5 days for a month then the next month I get a 5 day period then it doesn't come for a bit. Only down side is my mood swings are so annoying and the bf goes oh no Satan's waterfall is coming?? But it stops me from getting pregnant and eating alot so I don't mind hahaha. ## I'm glad that it's working so well for you. The irregular periods and mood swings can be normal side effects of it, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience dizziness, headache and weight changes. I must admit, I love how your bf refers to it…. I may pass that phrase on to my husband, he'll probably love it, too! LOL Is there anything I can help with?

Could i still be pregnant? ## I have also have sore breats and nipples. Urinating alot. I know jadelle has the some of the same side effects as pregnancy. ## Hello, Sha! How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? Did you get your period, yet? The NIH does list these as being possible side effects of hormonal contraceptives. Am currently on jadelle which is causing heavy bleeding and have been prescribed Norethestrone. Am worried if this will reduce the effectiveness of jadelle that I will fall pregnant since the bleeding has stopped. ## i dont think it will affect the effectiveness of the jadelle but you rather visit your doctor for advice ## Hello, Jasmine! How are you? I have to agree with Gamuchirai. If it would alter the effectiveness, your doctor most likely would have said such, when they prescribed it. it is just another hormone, very similar to what's already in the Jadelle. Thus, it actually usually inhibits ovulation, as well. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Had jadelle 4 a year & 3mnths . Now having erregular periods 4 the past 3 mnths with a break of 5 days in btwn. The bleed...

Ive been on Jadelle since November 2013 and had episodes of bleeding non stop which was later controlled by Norethestrone, after that was sorted i had a fungal infection and the GP said i had an infection in my uterus and i was given some antibiotics but the itching never stopped. it later just stopped on its own as soon as it stopped i also stopped breastfeeding my son who was now 15months old. a week later i started feeling nauseous but nothing serious and i was advised by a nurse from our local clinic that it was just the hormones that have an imbalance and it would normalize. just last night i started having a running stomach which i never have unless im pregnant. Im worrid sick could i be pregnant again?

has anybody had the rods removed and become pregnant almost instantly, if so did your baby survive? i was 12 weeks one day yesterday (already have a 3 year old son.) when i bled had a scan and the baby was the size of a 9 week old fetus, still not sure if it died 3 weeks ago, or just stopped growing, i am a healthy person and after reading this article: acultureoflife.wordpress.com/2013/03/05/questioning-the-benefits-of-jadelle i just wondered if there was any research or experiences into pregnancy and miscarriage after having it removed? ## Actually, when you've used a hormonal contraceptive, such as Jadelle, it's generally not recommended that you try to get pregnant, immediately. It can take about 3 months for your body to rebalance your hormones on its own and the proper amo...
