Hello, I am a long time user of oxycodone . Have been prescribed pain mess for around 8 years. I am 35 years old and lead a fairly active lifestyle . I've had many surgeries in which I suffer from serious constant pain. I've tried many ways of coping with the pain but the only thing that really works and enables me to function semi normally is oxycodone. Right now I'm using 30mg Oxys. This month I have been getting the pain relief from my Oxycontin as before. I am now informed that they hanged the formula from OC to OP and that the OP do not contain Narcan. What am I supposed to do when I am no longer getting the relief I had before. I don't want to have to go to the higher dose just to get the same relief. Taking the pill and breaking it up in tiny pieces using a industrial cutter razor blade and then eating it. Will that get me high. Or taking the broken pieces and dissolving in water and drinking it. Will that be better in getting high. Or is there a better way of getting high on oxy 20mg. Give or take 300mg ## @Mike, Your description is a bit vague, so I don't know what it is you might be referring to with that type of dosage in mind, but I've never heard of anyone taking 1500mgs of Oxycodone in a day! That sounds like it's far beyond the point of someone abusing it; maybe for someone who just wants to put an end to their life. Even for severe cancer patients, the average daily dose of controlled release Oxycontin can range from 20mg to 640mg per day. And for immediate release, doses higher than 30mg are rarely needed or prescribed. So this s what I heard. The Walgreens brand that everyone was accustomed to was a Watson product and apparently a lot of their distribution was in Puerto Rico. The Hurricanes that hit the area in PR affected the distribution and production of Oxycodone at Walgreens. I went to almost all of there stores in mid December without any luck finally I resorted to CVS which had a Mallinkrodt product. Walgreens had to resolve their shortage as they were losing customers that 10 day period they negotiated with Camberwhich is actually a company from India that just set up shop and company in New York September of 2017. Wanted to see how many he could take safely to help with the pain.... ## It's kind of difficult to say given the limited information in your post. How tolerant is he to opiates? I am 35 and was recently hurt bad on a construction site. I've been getting 15mg oxycodone every month (the small round green ones). I've had the (M) brand the (V) brand the A 214 brand and all have been good. Tuesday I filled my script and they give me these large oval pills N/P ON ONE SIDE, 15 THE OTHER. Well they are so horrible - they are worse than Tylenol. They relieve no pain they don't help me sleep. No tired feeling or anything before I took 1.
