I have been on 20mg of citalopram for 3months for axiety helped a bit but av got terible jaw clensing an still feel anxious will this get better xx ## No, it isn't likely to change if it's been 3 months, it usually only takes 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full effectiveness in the body and for the side effects to taper off. I have been on mirtazapine at 15mg for two weeks, I feel like a walking zombie and my moods are vile! I am agitated and hot tapered with my husband and children making me a nightmare to live with. Today the doctor has prescribed me 30mg as I have always been on such a high dose of Citalopram before we tapered off, that she thinks my side effects may be because I need more antidepressant in the system but agreed it might be because they don't suit me but we won't know until we've tried them for 5-6weeks. My question is will I always be tired and zombie like?...and also will I always be hot tempered and agitated? Or will these symptoms wear off as at the moment I just feel like stopping the damn things! Would really appreciate the opinions of those who have experienced this dr...

My mom is 78 and recently started with panic attacks and depression. Her doc put her on Cilift. She has been on for 2 weeks now and still no change except her hands shake and she is at time neaseous. How long till the Cilift kicks in and will the symptoms/side effects go away. She has high blood pressure which is being treated. Thank you ## This is Citalopram an antidepressant. They normally take 30 to 45 days to start working fully. This drug under that brand name Cilift is not available in the US. However the Citalopram is available.in the US. ## Rb is correct, most medications take at least a month to reach their full effectiveness. Also can these pills be insufflated? ## This tablet will not get you high and it isn't safe to snort any tablet, since they are not made to be used in such a manner. The tablet you mentioned with the marking IP 52 contains 10mgs of Citalopram, which is nothing more than an SSRi antidepressant. Learn more Citalopram details here. VERY VERY VERY SMALL ORANGE PILL WITH A STRANGE LOOKING 10 ON ONE SIDE AND NO MARKING ON OTHER. ON THE 10 THE 1 LOOKS MORE LIKE AN "I" AND THE 0 IS SOME STRANGE CIRCLE/OVAL. FOUND IN SONS ROOM HE SAYS HE TOOK THEM NEED HELP ASAP ## Its citalopram 10 mg. They're anti-depressants, no recreational value. Unless he took tons them at once, nothing's going to happen to him. He won't even get a high/buzz/etc off of it because ssri's don't work that way.
