Prescribed Norco 5/325 given Watson 3202. Take one or two pills(caplet) as needed for pain. I would rather take 1/2 of one. Pill is white caplet with red speckles and partly scored on one side with WATSON other side 3202 no score can I cut this in 1/2 and take only half? ## Hello, Avalon! How are you? Yes, these are listed as being regular release, so they're safe to cut or break, if your doctor approves. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I really need to know if I can cut in half the mallinckrodt 7.5 325 hydrocodin. I usually get the scored qualitest 7.5 325 I take one half 4 times aday, but, my pharmacist switched to the unscored tablet. ## Hi yvonne, Usually when there is a score line (divid) embedded into the tablet, it means the manufacturer purposely made it so patients could easily cut it in half. However based on my own past experience having to split a Norco tablet without a score line, I'd still feel safe cutting the pill in half AS LONG AS the drug itself is not in extended-release form; which it doesn't sound like yours is. Some patients may not agree with me on cutting it in half when there is no score line present, but I haven't heard of any good reason not to when it comes to this particular ta...

Been taking 40 mg methadone daily for 6 -7 years for pain management . Some reason my meds came up short this month and I've had to lower my dose in half to make it to my refill day. I'm feeling like crap being this is 3rd day and have 3 more to go until I can refill my script just would think keeping methadone in your system you wouldn't get sick , I've even taken a few Extra norco for break threw pain and also take Ativan for anxiety I really thought I could take a few extra of my other meds to stop the yucky feeling I just take the 20 mg methadone in morning. Should I take 10 mg in morning and 10 mg in afternoon ? As it is now , I'm not getting my second dose Wish I would had never started this medicine , it's great for pain management but it's just a scar...

I'm taking norco 10 mg 3 x day. I was taking 5 mg oxycodone along with the Norco at different times. I was starting to get no pain relief. My doctor recently changed me to 15 mg ir morphine tabs and now because it was not relieving the pain increased it to 30 mg er morphine taking it every 12 hrs. It's making me sick and not relieving the pain. Can I cut the er morphine pills in half safely. I'm still taking the Norco as needed. I've been taking pain Meds for 7 yrs for chronic pain and I can't go on like this. ## No, the ER means that they are time released, so it is not safe to cut or break them. Doing so could cause you to get too much of the medication at once, which creates the risk of overdose. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it ha...

When you break a norco in half is it difficult? And is it possibly fake if it ends up breaking too easily? ## Hello, Warren! How are you? I've always known them to break easily and never had to use a pill cutter, but I suppose it can vary from manufacturer to manufacture. Can anyone else chime in? The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I just broke a norco in half and it was kind of easy. Is it fake? ## My bf has 176 pills and they break easily in half. they look real but after he took 2 in the morning and 1 more in the afternoon he said he felt nothing like a m367 pill or Watson? Is it possibly fake or what? ## If the man...

After being in a very serious Car/Truck accident half a year ago, it is time for me to get off two 10-325 NORCOs a day. I am still in pain but soon within 6 months I would have no more. Is it hard to withdraw from a small dose like this? I don't feel dependent although still taking it! ## Hello, Eddy! How are you? I'd still suggest proceeding with caution and tapering, rather than stop abruptly, since you've been taking them for quite awhile. Unless your doctor says otherwise, you can cut these tablets into smaller pieces to gradually reduce the amount you're taking. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am a 38yo female. 120lbs. I just had my tonsils out today and am in some pain but not a lot... My Dr prescribed 2 Norco 7.5/325 every 6 to 8 hours for pain. I have found that 6 hours is a pretty long time for me... I even have a hard time with 4 hours.... And 2 pills are WAY too much... I'm good with one really, could probably cut that in half as it is... I'm wondering if I can take .5 to 1 every 3 hours instead of 2 every 6 hours? ## While this medication may work for severe pain, there is some amount of soreness that nothing is really going to relieve for awhile. I had mine out, just before my 21st birthday, so I know how miserable it can be. As to the medication, you can safely cut it in half, but I'd not recommend not changing the dosing schedule, without asking your d...

Can I break a m367generic Norco in half and take it ? ## Ask your doc first...I take half's when I am in less pain, & holes when I have brake through pain..less pill is better for you liver & whatnot. If I can take 3 & 1\2 & still control my pain....than I consider I'm doing my body a favor. But Still Ask Your Doc First!!! Before Changing your regiment!!!! ## @Yvonne, While I agree with Patrick that you should discuss this with your doctor before making any changes to an existing regimen, I will say that M367 is made to be cut in half for a divided dose. The score line (divid) on the back is what confirms this...and you'd actually use that as a guide to measure half a dose. Several years ago I resorted to taking half of one of these (every 4-6 hours) after a ...

I found a white round pill that looks like a percocet blank on one side but its cut in half so I can read all the number all I can see is a symbol looking like this & and the numbers 60. Not really sure what it is. ## Hi Tasha, With only half a pill/imprint all we can really do is speculate here, but this pill does seem similar to an "M360" generic Norco tablet by Mallinckrodt, which contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone + 750mg of Acetaminophen (a dosage they don't make anymore due to new restrictions on the amount of Acetaminophen companies can use). So if this is your pill by chance, then it would've been manufactured prior to Jan 2014 when this law went into effect. And even if this isn't your pill, I think it may still be worth contacting Mallinckrodt directly to s...

I have diabetic neuropathy and uncontrolled sugar levels. I have been on norco for about four years and now my doctor said she has cut my prescription in half and sometimes won't refill it at all because she said it is dangerous if your sugars are out of control. Is this true and why has it never been mentioned before? ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? Some of its typical side effects may mask the symptoms of low blood sugar. For example, the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and drowsiness… which could also be symptoms of hypoglycemia. Thus, if someone thinks their only experiencing them due to the opiate and doesn't check their blood sugar levels, they could drop low and may end up in a coma. What do you take for your diabetes? What k...

I have a new prescription for diladad 8 mg. Pharmacies won't fill as I don't have history.. But I have arthritis . continuing pain. ## I was told in Melbourne Florida at the publix stores up there. ....i am having trouble here in Miami. ....i was filling them at a spanish pharmacy but they cut half their people due to overload so i am looking again...my first month having trouble. ...it looks like i will be going to Melbourne Florida ## I just left Florida for this reason. I couldn't get norco ever month and they had me on file getting it AND when they order, which is only during once weekly group orders, it takes close to a week. Basically they'll fill it IF you show patience to wait a week. Florida is the worst state for any narcotic. I was filling norco, oxy and dilau...
