Can you take Targin whilst on methadone? Will it make you sick? Targin is oxycodone and naloxone. I don't why they'd put it in. I'm just wondering if I'm able to take that as I'm on the dome. Scared it may counteract ## They really make a drug like oxycodone with naloxone in it I wonder how it works ? An opiate blocker and an opiate together ## The Nalxone does not dissolve unless its crushed or chewed. Or at least that is how it should work. Many have had bad results! ## Don't mix stuff with methadone. It's dangerous. If you are on more than 80 mg then mixing can become fatal. I used to take adderall all the time. If you get an antibiotic for a cold do you ever think about snorting, smoking or shooting it up? I have a friend that took the old OCs and would always chew or snort them. He'd say it hit's him harder which is not a medical phrase I'd imagine. He does the same with Clodipin(SP) and says its like taking a Xanax. I sort of think it's funny because I actually have to take them for the long duration effect and Xanax doesn't last. Now with the 80 OPs he can't chew them or snort them. I don't think he's thought of smoking but I don't know anyone who has smoked a pill unless you call Ice or Crack a pill. I really feel for those in chronic pain but you can get things like Morphine patches and I wouldn't think this post was more like Addicts Anonymous and ...

My doctor switched me to Oxycontin 80MG from Oxycodone IR 30MG. What is the difference between the two? I read all these forums and many of them are about abusing them and I am not interested in doing that for fear of dying. So, what will happen if I chew them? Can someone tell me the difference between these pills and if anyone has chewed these pills and what is the effects of doing so. ## The one that you were receiving with the IR designation were instant release Oxycodone, but the Oxycontin is a time released formulation, meant to slowly release the medication over a 12 hour period. This is the number to Purdue when calling select Opt # 2 and explain the adverse reaction that you are having from the new reformulated Oxycontin. The number is 888-726-7535. If the new type is working for you then great. I and several people I spoke with said it gets stuck in your throat even with food. Plus it does not last 12 hour. I understand why they re-made it kids should not take it and as far as how people take it snort, inject or chew its their business. Nobody should tell another ADULT how to live his or her life. They are green round and say 80 on one side and oc on the other. The look just like the op except they say oc instead of op. Are they real or fakes. They honesty look real burin not sure. I have used lots of op 40, 60, and 80s and we all know they are chewy and are hard to abuse. Well it's been awhile since I had a real oc 80 and I can't remember what they taste like. Are the chewable? The ones I cam across say oc on one side and 80 on the other. They are a greenish color. Are they real or fake? ## That is the correct color and marking of the genuine Oxycontin 80mg tablet. Hospitals and pharmacies are allowed to continue to dispense them, until their supply is exhausted, at which time they will also be forced to switch to the new formulation. On top of that, with all the diversion that occurred due to theft, I am sure they will still be found on the streets for a long time to come. Are there any other comments or questions?

Given the protective qualities of the new Oxy OP, if you cut, say a 40mg tab in half, does it still release the drug slowly? I noticed there is no warning label on the bottle saying do not chew.
