Can U Take Add Adhd For Depression

Does anyone have experience of being treated with Dilantin for anxiety/depression/ADHD symptoms ? If so, could you advise me on dosage - Thanks ## Hope things have gotten better since you posted this. I have depression and anxiety as was adult ADD. I take patil. 10mg of Ativan as needed for the anxiety and to help me sleep when I can't calm my mind, and also Ritalin 10mg 2 times a day. The Ritalin being added really made a difference. I am not wanting to stay in bed. It has helped with my productivity and has helped me focus at work. I know this will not work for everyone but it sure did for me. ## I have taken Dilantin since I was 9 months old, then all kinds of drugs. Does anyone else have feedback after 10 years of Dilantin?

My phychiatrist RX me celexa for depression ~ Then he tryed me on 5 types of anphedamien type Meds for ADHD Thoes Meds freaked me out I thought to myself. ppl actually get addicted to this stuff? But when I asked him to RX me enough Lorazepam , the smallest does 0.5 msg i think, enough for 1 or 2 tabs a week he about had a cow . Yet he'd give me anphedameins, up to 30 mg 2x's a day? I wish I never when to him and stayed with my primary Dr as he had RX it for me with one refil. Anyway I'm going to see the shrink next week, it's been three months. Tobeg him toperscribe me the Lorazapam as I stated above.. If he fights me on this I'm asking him why it's ok fir me to take anphedamins with my celex and not the smal does of the Lorazapam I'm asking fir for anxiety ...

Hi, I'm a sophomore, International student with a scholarship from my government. I'm 36 years old and male. I have depression, anxiety and ADD/ADHD! I have 4 classes for this semester and I got this morning grade: D+. And I'm using this coming list everyday. Effexor 150mg 2 everyday, Concerta ER 54 mg, 1 a day, and Ritalin 20 mg, 3 a day. But my anxiety become very high! Should I ask my DR. To give me anything for my anxiety, and how can I improve my grade, what's the problem? Please READ this as I am going to try to explain my best of my experience with these medications. I want to start out saying that life is what you make it. There are millions of people out there with a chemical imbalance such as ADHD, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY etc. With that being said I have all three of them stated above. I have heard that Piracetam Nootropil) and Hydergine are positively synergised for the treatment of ADHD (also anxiety and depression relating to the ADHD symptoms) I no longer find Ritalin that I'm currently taking, to be as effective as when I first started taking it. I've also in the past, have been on Strattera and also Atomoxetine. I also have heard that Dilantin works well with those symptoms. Does anyone know if the Dilantin is compatible with Piracetam and Hydergine ? Okay I had ADHD as a child and was prescribed Dextroamphetamine 5mg I would take 3 pills in the morning and 2 in the Afternoon. Followed by Catapress to sleep in the evening. Leading up into early adult hood I was still using and become addicted to Dextroamphetamine. Years of Abuse of this Drug resulted in Depression and Drug induced psychosis. I believe the use of this drug damage receptors in the brain. I do not take amphetamine anymore but I have been prescribed prozac I have been taking 20mg daily now for 4 months and my depression is near non existent. I can only take prozac in the morning as it gives me a very large energy boost, if I was too take it at night I would not sleep. Please advise. My grandson is 9 years old and has been diagnosed with ADHD. He's on ritalin but his parents only give it to him when he's in school. Should they keep him on it year-round? He is not controllable when he's not taking it. ## These medications really do work best, when taken continuously, as prescribed. However, the final decision on that is up to the parents and the child's doctor. Have they said why they don't give it to him, when he isn't in school? They may just want to avoid some of the possible side effects, such as the anorexia and insomnia that it can cause. ## I was just put on ritalin for lack of motivation and depression. Hi! I'm new to this forum, but not really new to mental health. I've struggled with OCD, depression, and anxiety my whole life and have taken many different meds for them in my 29 years. But this post isn't about me. It's about my boyfriend. We moved in together in March of this year. I knew he frequently had mood swings, but I wasn't sure why. I have been on adderall 8 years. I'm 29 2 kids. My dosage is at 60 mg. 30mg ir 2 x daily I actually took 1.5 months off it and learned just how unmanageable my adhd / add is with out it. I tried starters and Wellbutrin during that time both which had neg side effects and just got back on adderall 10/30. Corpharma 30 pink tabs are what I got. I have been EXHAUSTED lethargic headaches sad .... Weird crap. I tried taking more just to see if it was weak (up to 200mg) - all it did was made all those symptoms ALOT worse. Is it the brand ? Hi, yesterday I was very depressed and I took roughly about 400mg adderall ir within a one hour period. Its been about 24hrs since I took it, haven't slept yet and I have a severe migraine and extremely nauseous. I do get light headed when I stand up. How long will this last? Hello. I've been taking Adderall for about 10 years for ADHD. I'm prescribed 30mg twice a day but normally take 1 and 1/2. Just been prescribed Contrave at my request and on week two until Tuesday. I'm excited bc I know my eating and drinking is tied to anxiety/depression diagnosis I have ignored for over 18 years and again 12 years ago. It may be in my head but I can already see my compulsive behaviors like shopping and other anxiety issues receding and am performing better at my job. Hi. I have ADHD along with depression. I use Escitalophram 10mg at bedtime for depression, also along with 5 mg. Ambien. I used to take Temazapam 10 mg before I saw studies associating it with either dementia or Alzheimer's, from which my father died. I also have sleep apnea. Understanding that one's ADHD is not effectively addressed until the depression is first being addressed, my psychiatrist is prescribing 40 mg generic ADDERAL (E 401) x 2 in the morning and generic Ritalin 20mg in the afternoon, though I suspect at least 40mg would work better since Ritalin is not as strong as ADDERALL and even theoretically 20mg Ritalin is only 10 mg of ADDERALL. Moved here 3 Years ago and I intended to keep my ADHD/Moderate Depression-medication therapy. All they have are methylphenidate formulations and Did I ask why not the other amphetamine analogues are legally authorized for medicinal purposes, are banned. No body and no one can give me a logical explanation as to why? Perhaps, you guys can knock some sense into me. For convenience I had my script for 30 mg Adderall filled @ target instead CVS. When I opened the bottle I immediately noticed it was physically different but was not concerned because Drug stores switch generics for several reasons such as cost and availability. After taking my first dose I noticed after 2-3 hrs. that I was not getting any noticeable or same response that I was accustomed to for my ADHD (combined) and depression! I've been diagnosed with major depression and adhd since I was 10. I started taking anti depressants when I was about 17. After trying a slew of different medications we settled on effexor. I went a long time without a PCP or psychiatrist and insurance so was basically stuck on effexor out of a fear of the brutal withdrawal symptoms. I was also a drug addict so didn't know what, if anything the meds were doing to my already altered brain chemistry. I have now been clean and sober for over one year and in therapy. I wanted to get off the effexor as it was the last vestage of my old life and try something new. Hey, all. I started Belivq on 11/26/14, it is now 12/3/14. I know that is not a lot of time. I am an eighteen year old girl, in college full time plus working full time. I weigh 210. I haven't lost a single pound. I don't know if it works or if I need more time. I Am going through depression, have been for two years. I also have a slightly elevated thyroid.
