Can U Get High Off Of Vyvanse

I'm a senior in high school and have been taking vyvanse since the middle of my freshman year. I take it every school day for my ADD. I'm prescribed 40 mg. I've never been able to think a perfect way to describe how I feel when it's wearing off. After about 3 hours I'll start to feel like there's fog in my head. Everything seems hazy and dream like. I'll become extremely irritated to the point where the next person that talks is lucky they aren't getting punched. At lunch I won't eat from no appatite and I'll sit there with my friends as I say nothing. I feel awkward, nervous, anxious, alone, and paranoid. I don't want anything to do with anyone maybe because I feel like something's wrong with me. Later on in the day I begin to feel my fac...

Hello everyone, I have been on Suboxone 8/2, twice a day for over 5 years. I want to get off it but I have major health compications. I've had major depression my whole life. My last psychiatrist put me on several other drugs for my depression. One of them is an amphetamine called Vyvanse. (70 mg.) I'm also on 4 mg of clonazepam, 200 mg. of pristiq and Dexilant for acid reflux. I have a history of a negative lipid profile. In addition, I have high blood pressure. I'm also 60 years old. I know that I should never stop anythin suddenly. I have been unable to find asome out of the physician to supervise the withdrawal from anything. I am really afraid that Suboxone withdrawal will trigger a heart attack or stroke because everytime I try to taper down, My heart starts pounding i...

I've only been taking the drug for about a week, but I feel great. I have much more energy, confidence, and possibly strength. I have also lost a good portion of my appetite (which is okay, as I'm somewhat overweight. 6'5" 280 lbs, though I am also an offensive lineman for the high school). How long do these effects last? Do they wear off the longer I take them? ## Hi Cameron, I'm glad this medication is working well for you. Over time, the effects you are experiencing may level out some due to an increased tolerance and may not continue to be quite as strong. It's impossible to know for sure though, since everyone reacts to medication differently. Learn More: Vyvanse Details I hope this helps! ## Okay, thanks. The feelings of "being on top of the world" ...

I'm a 17 year old Junior in High School and I have been taking 70 mg of Vyvanse for longer than I can remember, even before 7th grade. Recently my boyfriend has been telling me it's making me depressed. I can usually tell when my medicine has worn off and one night I was acting happier than usual because of that. He told me I should just stop taking it, but my mother who's recently been very controlling tells me otherwise. Would it really be that bad to just drop it? Also, out of curiosity, i often forget I take my pill and end up taking a second one. How much is too much? ## Hello, Himeko! How are you? The best thing to do, regardless of what your boyfriend or your mother says, is to go discuss the problem with your doctor. They are the best qualified to advise you on this....

I suffer from high anxiety, ADHD and minor depression. Last week I talked to my doctor and he prescribed me 50 mg Pristiq for the anxiety and 30 mg Vyvanse for ADHD. I have been taking both as directed, the Vyvance in the morning and the Pristiq at night before bed. So far the Vyvanse is working well for me. I feel much more focused, have more energy, and have been more social and more productive at work- just an overall better mood. The problem is that about 7 or 8 hrs after taking the Vyvanse it starts wearing off and I start feeling extremely anxious and can't sleep. The doctor said the Pristiq takes at least 2-3 weeks to start working, so I'm not sure how that will effect me yet. I read that sleeplessness is a common side effect of both of these drugs, but I can't stand ...

I've been taking adderall on and off since 2009 for college. However I started noticing the bad come downs so my doctor switched me to vyvanse 50mg. That didn't work out too well. The dose turned out to be too high for me, causing me to be really anxious, over analyzing everything, and getting nothing done. I switched to 30mg vyvanse and I've been taking that on and off for a few years. Some days I think to myself, "thank god for this stuff". And then there are other days where I regret taking it- very weird. For example today I took one capsule for the first time in a few weeks. I felt great this morning, all my worries went away about starting this new job of mine, I felt focused and got things done. Then after the first two hours or so I got very anxious and on ed...

Adult daughter showing signs of agression on vyvanse ## I've been on vyvanse for over a year and I just decided to stop using it because of all the anger I felt all the time. I've been off of it for 3 days and my withdrawal symptoms have been horrific. I do not recomend this medication to anyone. ## I am sorry for your experience. It is a horrid drug. Have you seen other blogs concerning it? ## My son 14 years old started out taking vyvanse 20 mg then eventually to 40 mg. He hasn't been on the 40 mg long. All together he has been on the medicine for 2 months. Well the scary part is it gave him full blown tourette syndrome. He has been suffering terrible tics and muscle body jerking. He is biting at the air and has a few vocal tics.He is highly irritable.I never seen anything l...

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone with diabetes taking vyvanse feels like the meds cause them to feel low even though numbers are fine? I just started it today and have felt low all day. ## Vyvanse can cause its own side effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia, and anorexia. What medication do you take for your diabetes? What are your blood sugar levels showing? If you just started it, today, it is normal for you to experience more side effects, it can take 4 to 6 weeks for them to wear off and for you to feel more normal. ## I take fiasp and tresiba for my insulin and as for my numbers they usually run high at around 11 or 12. I am also starting a pump in 2 weeks so that should bring my numbers down. Yesterday was my secon...

is this possible? I see everywhere online that 70 mg is the max daily? Aetna will only pay for 30 pills a month, not 60. I believe her physc is reckless, he also scribes her viibryd, and klonipin from a different doc she takes about 2 10/325 of precoctes, and applies a 25mg fentynal patch every 24hrs. Has anyone ever heard of such a regime? It all seems so crazy... she denies being an addict, but I know in my heart she is. ## Hello, Brad! How are you? Is she abusing her medications? If not, she's not an addict. There is a difference between addiction and dependence. Addicts like the way certain medications make them feel, such as energetic or high, but those are only temporary side effects that eventually wear off, so they keep having to take more and more to get those effects back....

I am 36 yr old female diagnosed with ADD 2 yrs ago. I was originally on 30mg of vyvanse and that was great. I had to stop taking it bc I was pregnant. I was put back on it a month ago after being off of it for a year and it was not the same. It only worked for a couple hrs and I lost appetite. So dr put me on concerta. This is my second day and I dont like it. It takes forever to kick in and it makes me angry and so sleepy. Will this change? Is this common? Is the dose to low or high? (34mg) I am thinking low bc I cant concentrate at all and Im tired all day. Thanks ## I'm assuming you meant the 36mg extended release tablet? That is actually one of the higher dosages, the next would be the highest daily dose at 54mgs. Since it is an extended release, it is not going to start working...

Tapering off of Cymbalta and starting 10 mg of Trintellix for 7 days soon to increase to 20 mg. I have suffered with Major Depressive Disorder for 23 years. Tried so many antidepressants and settled with Cymbalta. Take Abilify 20 mg. No side effects so far. Seem to have less fatigue, more energy and increased ability to focus. I have ADD and take 70 mg Vyvanse. Overall, very pleased with Trintellix. I can honestly say this was a Godsend. My family has noticed a difference in me already. Amazing drug well worth the high cost. Blessed insurance finally agreed to cover after several appeals and pleas for help. ## Awesome! I am so happy that this medication is working so well for you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipation....

well, I went off Mallinckrodt after being back on that for awhile at 80 mg and I had to go on the hunt again. Well there is a brand called Zenzedi that has the same 10 mg tablet as wilshire and i find those to last a little longer... not as much mentally hardcore in the focus area but at least the urge to pig out hits every 3.5-4 hours vs 2... They all beat the rest away (vyvanse, dex spansule, adderall, ritalin....) Now they need to go to a higher dose because 180-270 pills depending on the brand per month is nuts. And I respect that long acting generation and that it helps but don't think all of us on them are crackheads. Speaking of which, I used to get the brand name 5 mg ones 420 per month during the adderall boom and they were $37 at my pharmacy.... lay off the prices. These a...
