I HAVE OA AND need both knees and right hip replaced, I also have bone infarcts in both legs and in 2003 had a car accident that broke my neck c5,c6 &c7 along with damaging L5 -S1 disc herniation effacing the right S1 nerve root. my sciatic nerve is pinched and the pain is indescribable. I tore my ACL,PCL & MCL in my left knee in 2008 and had surgery to repair it. in October of 2013 I tore my PCL,MCL,ACL & LCL in my right knee the doctors did not repair any of this.i was on 1 - 2 10- 325 oxycodone acetaminophen every 6 hours for approximately 3 years and it did a decent job controlling my pain and all of a sudden in the beginning of November my doctor cut my dose in half without telling me why.. unfortunately it wasn't making my pain tolerable and when I asked her why sh...

I JUST UPGRADED FROM 5MG OF OXYCODONE TO 10MG OF OXYCODONE (BRAND AUROBINDO). I CUT THE PILL IN HALF TO START SLOW. I DID NOT FEEL PAIN RELIEF BUT IT REALLY MADE ME SICK. I TOOK A THIRD 8 HOURS LATER AND GOT HIGH. I FEEL THAT THIS IS AN UNEVEN PRODUCT. WHAT ARE THE BINDERS IN THIS 10MG AUROBINDO OXYCODONE? IS IT REALLY 10 MG CONTENT? ## REPLYING TO MYSELF, I MEANT 1/3 OF A U17 AUROBINDO OXYCODONE 10MG. ## Hello, Paula! How are you? Aurobindo lists this tablet as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Percocet. The Acetaminophen augments the action of the Oxycodone in some people, so that might explain the problem you had with side effects. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such...

I have been taking Hydrocodon-APAP 10-325 2 PILLS EVERY 4 HOURS 3 to 4 times a day for 15 years. My problem is the last few prescriptions I've received have not done much to help with the pain. The last few prescriptions are Watson 853 tablets. I have taken as many as 4 to 4 & 1/2 pills within an hour & a half & it was like I was taking nothing!! I have heard that sometimes the medicine is replaced with a placebo or that the Government is cutting down the ingredient that actually give fast pain relief. Is there any truth to this or what is the problem? ## Nok that is not true, if you receive them from a licensed U.S. pharmacy, everything they dispense must meet the same FDA efficacy standards. It is warned that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and ...

I was in a horrible accident. My Dr. Put me on Dillaudid 4 mg. After a half month I cut myself down to Dilaudid 2 mg. When that was gone, my Dr. Put me on Oxycodone 10, to keep down withdrawals. I've been on these for approx. 2 weeks. Is it safe to now cut my dose down, and how should I go about it? I DON'T WANT OR NEED THE WITHDRAWAL. ## It is not a time released medication, so as long as your doctor approves, you should be able to cut the pills to gradually reduce your dosage. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? ## If you have only been taking opiates (as prescribed) for about a month, and onl...

I seem to be having the same issue as some in this forum. I had been on another brand until this refill & well this Rhodes brand doesn't seem as effective. One of the main reasons I'm here, I thought it odd that I wasn't getting the same relief as the other brand. I'm going to contact my pharmacy and see if they can do anything, I may call my PM doctor as well to see if they have any suggestions. ## The last two months have been hard on me since Rite aid switched from really good working oxycodone 10/325 to this RHODES pharmacy GARBAGE and it’s not only that but all my meds aren’t working like they used to. I loved my old ones (oblong) Easily cut/snap in half. With this maker of these meds my eyes burn and water, nose constantly runs and I’m in so m...

Can I take a half of hydrocodone acetaminophen 10/325 because I already had 4 extra strength tylenals today? ## Hello, Jessica! How are you? Yes, they can be cut in half, they are not time released. Just be careful not to exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen a day, unless your doctor instructs otherwise and no more than 1,000mgs every 8 hours. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. My dr. Changed my 20 mg Oxycodone for Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 10/325 Which is stronger because the 10/325 isn't working. ## The 20 mg. is 2 times stronger than the 10mg. The 325 part is just Tylenol . The 20 mg is oxycodone which the very strong part that kills your pain . Your Dr. Seems to have cut your pain strength in half. ## @Tessa, I agree with Smith, in that your doctor nearly cut your dose/pain relieving effects in half (even after taking into consideration the 325mgs of Acetaminophen - which is very subtle in my opinion). Subtracting that extra 10mgs of Oxycodone was the biggest alteration and is probably the reason why you're not feeling like the Percocet is working. If I'm not mistaken, it sounds like your doctor is trying to wean you off by prescribing weaker med...

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Cant split slow release thr coating is made to release a small dose in a 12 hr period and it is dangerous ! Never do that w slow release meds ! Hi, first time I was prescribed a round pill identified as v4839 Percocet 5mg. Now I have v4829 .. Saying its 325.10mg. I need to know if I can break it in half. 10 mg is to strong. Also my pills are white and the picture coming up on the website is yellow.. I always double check my scripts to make sure it's correct . Do you know why the internet shows yellow and why mine is white? ## These tablets are a light yellow. That probably explains why it appears to be white to you. Sometimes going outside and looking at it in the sunllight can help you see the light yellow. 4829 v is 10 mg oxycodone and 325 mg Acetaminophen. This is generic for Percocet 10/325. It is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals. You can cut it in half because it is immediate release.

Hydrocodone comes in 5, 7.5 & 10 mg hydrocodone with 325 tylenol in each tablet. The higher doses are usually every 4-6 hrs. ## BL is correct, that is not a high dose. After being in a very serious Car/Truck accident half a year ago, it is time for me to get off two 10-325 NORCOs a day. I am still in pain but soon within 6 months I would have no more. Is it hard to withdraw from a small dose like this? I don't feel dependent although still taking it! ## Hello, Eddy! How are you? I'd still suggest proceeding with caution and tapering, rather than stop abruptly, since you've been taking them for quite awhile. Unless your doctor says otherwise, you can cut these tablets into smaller pieces to gradually reduce the amount you're taking. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I ran out of 10/325 Oxycodone and can't get them from my doctor until Tuesday. Can I take one and a half of 7.5/325. The 7.5 has a M522 on it and is made by Mallinkrt Pharm ## Hello, Leander! How are you? They are not time released tablets, so they can be cut, but it would be best to make sure you have your doctor or pharmacist's approval to do so. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. I am taking oxycodo-APAP 10-325 ,a generic for Percocet. It is an oval shape withM523 on one side and 10/325 on the other. My Dr. said I could split the pill if it is too strong. But there is no score line. Can or should this pill be spit to receive half the dosage? ## The best advice I can give is to listen to what your doctor said. From personal experience when there was no score line on a pill I would still cut in half if it was too strong and simply take half the dose. I don't think you should worry if your doctor gave you the ok to do so. After splitting the pill in half, just be sure to follow your doctors orders on when to take the pill every so many hours.

I've never taken oxycodone/acetaminophen 7.5/325 in my life until yesterday for pain. I took a total of 1 3/4 pills total and don't plan on taking any more. I took 1/2 pill at 10 am, another 1/2 at 2 pm, 1/2 at bedtime and this morning I cut the remaining 1/2 pill in half and took that at 7 am. When would it be safe to drink wine? It is now 12 hours after I took the last 1/4 pill. ## Hello, Olivia! How are you? After 12 hours it should fine, but it would be best to double check with your pharmacist to be certain. The main reason you are told not to drink with it is due to the way alcohol tends to worsen the side effects, which can include depression of the central nervous system. In some cases, if someone indulges in too much of either one, there is a risk of death, according to...
