Disappearing Suboxone Doctor
My doctor has disappeared. He went out in March. At the March appointment I got two scripts for three a day (regular dose is two a day) one to fill that day and another to fill April 17 to cover up to June 17th. There was no script for May and I stupidly did not start looking for new doctor because I trusted this doctor and had been going to him for over 2 years. The day before the June 17 appointment he calls, says he could not keep the appointment. At that time, I had a few left and told him that and it was “I don't know what to tell you and hung up”. I got into see someone a few Saturdays ago and they knew my situation and agreed to not make me start over and instead start right off treating monthly if I had printout from pharmacy saying that I had been on it. The doc... ...

How much Suboxone did the Doctor Prescribe You?
The Doc put me on 5 a day 8mg pills. In all 40mg a day. It makes me really tired during the day, then at night I have Insomnia. I guess it's better then taking Opiates again. It's truely changed my life? If only I can sleep! ## My doctor started me on four a day, which happens to be way to much. I don't know the exstent of your using but I can tell you that I was bad as they come. If you want to sleep then stop taking so much, no one needs that much suboxone. After a while It becomes a regular part of your life which I am sure you know. I now take only eight milligrams a day, I have been on them for nine months. After forcing myself to lower my dose my sleep paterns became one hundred times better. I went from over three hundred milligrams of oxycontin shot intervenously to ... ...

suboxone
Please tell me why I can't find a physician that provides suboxone and accepts insurance? ## Because only a limited number of doctors can prescribe Suboxone, they must take special training classes to be allowed to prescribe it. ## It depends what you mean by 'accepts insurance'. I 'accept insurance' in my practice.. I don't accept the insurance as 'total payment', though, because every insurer pays differently-- usually depending on how expensive the insurance policy is. Suboxone patients are treated exactly the same as any of the patients in my general psychiatry practice. One insurer may pay $30, and for the same service another insurer pays $150! So if my charge for the service is $155, the first patient will have to pay an additional $125, and the se... ...

suboxone
I will tell you people this that Suboxone saved me. I was taking Methadone and whatever else I could get when I couldnt get the Methadone and, I started searching on the internet all you do is go google type in suboxone doctors and it will pull up a list by state. Belive me find one and start taking it today. I did it right I dropped down to 30mg of Methadone a day and then went through 3 days of hell. I read if you dont have a good withdrawal going that the suboxone will throw you into it. I will not lie. I didnt like the way I felt after the first two days. Dont get me wrong NO WITHDRAWALS!!!!!!!!!!!!! But the feeling was not what I was expecting but now 4 days later I feel like my old self I mean I really feel good. So please do it right and go through a day or two of hurting for you... ...

Suboxone needed
I am currently in my 4th month in a methadone clinic in Menlo Park Ca. I have less than 55 days to go. I am down to 20mgs of methadone a day. I do not have medical insurance, but would like to know if I am able to get a prescription for Suboxone. I was treated 7 years ago by Dr. Glatt. San Mateo Ca. I took suboxone back then, and was clean for almost 8 years. Please tell me there is a Dr. in the San Francisco area willing to prescribe suboxone for me. I am on my final stretch and badly want to be free from this drug once and for all. I thank you for taking the time to read this. Sincerely, Mario ## You can check for doctor's in your area that treat with Suboxone at the website Suboxone.com Once you find a doctor to treat you with it, there is an assistance program for it from the ma... ...

suboxone and depression
hi... does anyone else out there get relief from chronic depression by taking the suboxone? i take it illegally whenever i run out of percs, and it always makes me feel better, like i can do more things, and i have more energy...next week, i go to a suboxone doctor to get on this legally, but should i tell him that i take them illegally and that they help with my depression? i am not sure if i should tell him this..i would love to hear from soneone...thanks ## I take suboxone from a doctor and after you taking percs, yes, he may start you on the suboxone program($$$) if he sees fit- or if you are truly addicted to opiates, but when you tell him you take percs for depression he will definitely add an anti-depressant to your med. list then taper you off the sub. program. It works. Depressio... ...

On Suboxone Getting Skinny
on suboxone one year iam losing to much weight i look like a junkie and depressed. ## I have the opposite problem. I have put on too much weight. Initially, I needed to gain about 20 lbs but I gained 40 and lost the first 20, now cannot get rid of the remaining 20 for anything. Any advice on that? The only thing I can tell you about gaining weight, eat ice cream before you go to bed. It helped me go from drugged out looking to normal in no time. ## Steve, have you consulted your doctor? As evidenced from Laurel's post, if you are using it as prescribed and not abusing it, it usually has quite the opposite effect and most people gain weight. Your losing is unusual and you should consult your doctor to get to the root of the problem. ## i m down to 8 mgs aday now i think my appetite i... ...

suboxone and methadone
i am starting on suboxone next week...one of these messages says never tell the suboxone doctor you were at one time on methadone..why is that so,if it is ? ## I've never heard anyone say such a thing, nor have I read it anywhere. I am guessing it may have come from someone that was abusing it, rather than using it for treatment. There are many people who have successfully switched from Methadone treatment to Suboxone treatment to finally beat their addiction problems. With Methadone, they usually end up needing a lifetime maintenance dose and never get completely drug free. This is not true, however, of the Suboxone and for proper treatment, you should always be honest with your doctor. Please post back and let us know how you are doing! ...

taking suboxone and phenergan
need to kno if i can take 4mg suboxone ang 50mg phenergan? ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions that apply to the active ingredients in each of those medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using promethazine (phenergan) together with buprenorphine (suboxone) may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. how long does it take suboxone to get out of the bloodstream
My friend is currently pregnant and has been on suboxone for almost a year now..illegally. . She is winging herself off and wants to know how long it will be in her bloodstream or the babys bloodstream ## Hi, Neina! How is she doing? Your friend should really not be trying to get off of this medication without medical help. It is far too risky for both her and the baby. Doing it too fast could cause severe withdrawal symptoms that could put both of their lives in danger. And if she stays on it, there is a risk of the baby being born addicted. She really needs to tell her doctor and get help. ## Hi. I work for an ob/gyn & I agree w Verwon 100%. If she starts "weening off" too fast it could cause her & the fetus serious problems. In fact, we recommend to our pts to NOT ... ...

HOW TO USE SUBOXONE AT HOME
I have ten subs. I have been taking oxycontin for pain but want to try at home to w/d. I can't discuss this with my doctor as it will affect my insurance. This is a fact..in my case... Can someone on here tell me how to use my subs? I would appreciate any answers and no lectures. How many do I need to withdraw..Thanks so much ## you have to be off the oxycontin long enough to start feeling the withdrawals, THEN, and only then, you take the suboxone. I was on a boatload of hydro, and just 2mg calmed me down. make what you have last. start with 2mg,if that doesn't help, do another 2mg. just a little goes a long way ## Suboxone contains a powerful opiate Buprenoprhine, with the agonist Naloxone. So, it can also put opiate users into withdrawals if it is not used carefully. It shoul... ...

Dismissed from suboxone program
I don't see why it would be a big deal if I had taken subs with another doctor, I can't imagine I'm the only one that has relapsed and been dismissed before. This time I truly feel like I'm ready to quit and move on with my life. Does anyone know If i should disclose the suboxone treatment I had a few months ago??? I don't want to get kicked out of this office for not telling them the truth, but if they have no way of knowing what kind of treatment I've had in the past I would rather them not know. What should I do??? Is there a paper trail they can look at, or can my insurance blow the whistle on me? ## What is the point of wasting other people's time if your not ready to get honest. If your not being honest, your not ready, so stay home and keep playing gam... ...

Dismissed from suboxone program
Hello all, I need some advice. I was kicked out of my first program 4 months ago. I'm ready to get back on the subs again, but I'm not sure if I need to tell my new doctor that I have taken them before. I live in Colorado and I'm not sure if they will ask if I've ever taken suboxone before or if I'm in some sort of data base. Should I just tell him the truth that I relapsed my first time, or should i just keep it to myself? ## Yes, you are in a database! All narcotic prescriptions are logged and reported to the federal government, a simple search will allow them to pull up your name and information very quickly. So yes you do have to tell them, otherwise you will end up dismissed from another program. Just be honest and tell them exactly what happened. Please post ba... ...
