Is it okay to take Propoxyphen while breastfeeding? ## In general this can be a pretty controversial question. My opinion is that you shouldn't take any medication while breast feeding, due to the fact that this drug will be in your body and may or may not be transferable in some form to the baby. Honestly to me it just comes down to what you feel is ethically appropriate, but odds are probably against risking any possible harm. Hopefully someone else (who is a woman) can shed some more light on this topic. I hope my opinion made a difference for you.

Just wnet to the dentist and was given quite a bit of isocaine...can I still nurse? ## The active ingredient in Isocaine is the local anesthetic Mepivicaine. From the information I can find, it is not known whether or not this is excreted in breast milk. Have you tried asking your doctor or the dentist? If you are unsure, it may be advisable to wait at least 24 hours, before going back to breast feeding your baby, just to be on the same side.
