after walking at a normal to brisk pace, the insides of both legs tingle from my feet all the way to the groin area, but not on the outsides of my legs. I want to know what is causing this. I'm 77 and this started a few weeks ago. ## Hello, Little Mouse! How are you? I'm not a doctor, so I can't say with certainty, but that symptom is usually due to a change in circulation. The exercise is increasing blood flow to muscle areas that don't normally have some much freely moving through them. Do you have any medical conditions, such as a heart issue, or high blood pressure? Are you on any medications? There are many things that could cause it, including age. But only your doctor can say for sure. ## Thank you for your response. I had been curious about a "change in circu...

My mother is 90 with AF. Last Sept had blood clots removed from rt leg. She has been on Xarelto for 8 months. She has been complaining of both legs feel ice cold. Her legs are warm to touch. She also describes twitching of her legs at night. She also has SOB when walking from one room to another. She describes it as having to catch her breath. Can this be of concern? This has been going on for months. ## Hello, Linda! How are you and your mother? There is a chance that this is due to medications side effects, the FDA does list similar symptoms as being among the possible ones it can cause, along with increased risk of bleeding, headache, nausea and easy bruising. However, given your mother's history, it would be best to have doctor check things out to be on the safe side. Is there a...

Hi, please help. I am taking lexamil 20mg. Can I take it with truvalin in the evening? I have experienced mind flashes, sleep walking and tingly itchy legs that I have to move around all the time; hence no sleep. ## Has your doctor prescribed them both for you? The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight changes.

I am going oversesa tomorrow and my doctor changed me from Cartia to start today on Xarelto for the duration of my trip and then return to Cartia after a couple of days when i am home.My question is i took the 1st tablet this morning around 8am wIth my breakfast by 10 am i had pain in my left leg at the back probably say calf area. If this is a normal reaction thats fine just checking because of flying tomorrow i had a walk with support stockings and it felt better just still fèel it off and on while I am sitting down looking forward to hearing from you ## Why the switch? They treat different conditions and can actually both be taken, together. What condition is being treated? At this point, given the switch, it is hard to say if this symptom is due to stopping one medication, or s...

My husband took Zetia for several years with no side effects..that we recognized. He has suffered sudden onset vertigo on and off for several years...fine one minute..throwing up and unable to stand the next. He started complaining with his legs being weak so we started walking to help build muscles...he's always been extremely active. After a few more weeks the weakness was worse...legs and hips. We finally researched enough to pinpoint the problem as Zetia. The end of this month will be 3 months off. Now he has severe pain in his arms and shoulders..and the legs and hip issue is better some days than others. We are both scared that this won't get better. The pain from this is stealing his joy...his rest...his ability to live a normal life. At this point...we desperately need p...

My mother has been on Eliquis for several months. Lately she complains of leg muscles that get tired and she can not walk. She is alo having dizziness and can't sleep. She is 86 and has afib. ## Hi Connie, Sorry to hear about your mother's condition. Based on my research, the drug monograph for Eliquis (apixaban) does list "dizziness" as well as "swelling or joint pain" as possible side effects. Has she reported experiencing any type of pain when her legs get tired from walking? The FDA actually recommends telling your doctor if you have any kind of side effect(s) that bother you or do not go away. So that sounds like it may be her best bet when it comes to taking the next step for assistance in the matter. Perhaps the doctor may suggest trying something else and...

has anyone experienced leg cramping while taking lisinopril? How long were you taking before the cramps started? Are the cramping in one or both legs? When does the cramping occur, at night or while walking or during exercise or some other time? Have you found anything to help with the cramping or did you stop taking the drug?Any other details you could provide would be great, thank you ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? Usually, leg cramping is caused by dehydration, a lack of potassium, or both, since once can lead to the other. It tends to be due to the fact that this medication can increase urinary output as a side effect. Others, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension. Have you consulted your doctor?

Started Dicloxacillin yesterday and have had back and leg pain/ache since about half way through the day. Could it be related to Dicloxacillin? ## It is possible, according to the FDA, other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. If the symptoms continue, or worsen, you should consult your doctor. Has there been any change? ## I too have experienced the symptoms you have reported. I have been treated on different occasions with this drug and have had the symptoms you experienced. It is more like nerve pain shooting down both sides of my legs (radiating from my back thru my hips and legs... difficult to stand and walk). It got worse as I approached the end of the drug treatment regimen (10 days). It subsides upon drug completion. FYI.

I began taking remeron for IBS (irritable bowel syndrome. 7.5 mg x 2 per day. Noticed my heart began racing. Called doc asked if this was a side affect. He said don't worry your body is just getting used to remeron. It will adjust itself. That night woke up with terrifying hallucinations. Fell down two flights of stairs. Broke arm trying to get out by breaking a window. Bruises all over my body from falling down the steps. Back injured as well as neck. My nuts and thighs and both legs had huge black and blue marks. It's been a little over a week. Still in alot of pain. Still can't walk much without a lot but am slowly feeling less pain. Doc says I should be okay within a month. Remeron can be very dangerous. I could have been killed. ## Hello, Peter! How are you? I am so ver...

My Dr. has put me on Benazapril/Amlodipine for high blood pressure. I get terrible leg cramps in the night, and have to get up and walk around to relieve them. Is this unusual? I am also taking a Potassium tablet, which Dr. is aware of. ## I too have been getting leg cramps and was not sure why, thanks for the post Rae. ## I've had this happen every time my Dr. gives me a diuretic. ## I'm going to have to ask my Dr. about that, once again I thank you for sharing. ## Diuretics can cause this, they can cause dehydration as well as low potassium, both of which can cause leg cramps. Please talk to your doctor about this. ## Doctor knows about it, but she's not the one getting up in the middle of the night, is she? ## Whenever I get leg cramps, I add more potassium. if you over dose with clonazepan leaving your legs with out feeling can Romazicon help revese this ## I have both 1 and 2mg pills - at 2mg I black out and lose hours of my life - while I'm still conscious and walking/working/etc mind you. At 1mg it definately calms me down and makes me a little sleepy. But the worst side effect is how forgetful I get. Depending on the dose (I don't use it regularly, just in extreme situations) I will forget doing things, talking to people - or even seeing them at all. In my opinion I find that to be a little scary. Aside from what I've mentioned here though it's a very effective, fast working drug.

Is there any Help out there from someone.? TY ## Hello, grandma! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry about what you're dealing with. ive been taking citalopram hbr 20 for about 6 week now. i have been having pain in both my legs thru out the day and night, anything that might be caused from this pill ## Have you consulted your doctor? I need a pain clinic or a doctor in the Stark County Ohio area I can walk into today and get some hydro. or oxy. I am legit and have MRI results to prove. I have been going to er visits up till now bulged disc both knees have torn cartilage and right leg is shorter than other also bad right hip with bursitis. ## I'm sorry, but with the new regulations that were put in place this year, that's really not going to happen. If you need immediate pain relief, returning to the ER is most likely your only option. Since people requiring controlled substances for ongoing treatment of pain are now being forced to see pain management specialists, such doctors have become swamped with new patients. Thus, if you do happen to find one that is still accepting new patients, you'll likely hav...
