And it can be used for a dental infection, but the relevant question is: Was it prescribe to treat this dental infection? If not and you just have some left over from a prior prescription, you may run into problems if you don't have enough to completely eradicate the infection, because you run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria.
