Help! How can Subutex patients be treated for pain?
8 Replies RSS
I've been a Subutex patient for a year taking 8mg a day. If I get in an accident, how can a doctor treat me for pain. I've been worried about this ever since I started and I haven't spoke to my doctor yet. I sincerely do not care about getting high anymore and this really bothers me. Can somebody please help? Thank you! ## There is no need to worry, they will be able to treat you. Subutex only contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, it does not contain the added Naloxone that Suboxone does, which is the ingredient that neutralizes other opiates. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you! That... ...

I was diagnosed with cirr(liver) in 2002. I have not touched alcohol since,by the grace of God! But now I am experincing a lot of pain from other acouple of yrs ago i tried some street opiates .I can't do without them now. It was easier stopping drinking than stopping the use of these opiates. Someone had me try a subutex and I felt like it was a gift from God! I just really am begging for help!!!!!! ## Hello, Rhonda! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you've had. You'll likely need to see a doctor that treats with Suboxone, then let them evaluate your health to see if you can safely take it, or if they need to put you on Subutex. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, This is a narcotic so it ... ...

Buprenorphine is a semisynthetic opioid derivative of thebaine. Can u take saphris 5mg with subutex 8 mg ## I didn't find any interactions listed between these two medications, but you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain of the safety of taking them both. Learn more Subutex details here. Learn more Saphris details here. The main problem that I can see that may occur is due to the fact that they both cause some depression of the central nervous system, so taking them both can intensive those effects. Thus, you should know to watch for any possible danger signs, such as extreme somnolence, dizziness, lowered heart rate and low blood pressure. Have they both been prescribed for you? ## Can you please answer something for me? Ok I have been taking subutex since I have ran out of my pain meds which is opana 10mg IR. I hav... ...

Help I've fallen into subutex and xanax and can't get out!!

Any way to get off subs after at least 15 years of being a slave to them? Don't get me wrong, being strung out on opiates or anything like that is much worse, but I'm pretty sick of relying on a f***ing pill to keep me well. I'd like to have another baby someday. What have I gotten myself into?? ## Hello, Red! How are you? Both of these medications usually require a very slow taper to successfully come off of them and prevent the worst of the withdrawal symptoms. The FDA lists some typical withdrawal symptoms as possibly including nausea, dizziness, rebound pain, rebound anxiety and diarrhea. You also have to be very careful not to stop the Xanax cold turkey, because that can create the risk of seizures. What has your doctor advised? What dosage do you take of each? ...

Can Doctors in TN prescribe buprenorphine /Subutex for pain?
5 Replies RSS
I need to find a doctor to prescribe subutex for pain. Can Doctors in TN prescribe it for pain? If so, what doctors in middle TN do prescribe it for pain? I was on pain pills for years. They don't help any more. Only subutex does. Please help. I'm desperate. ## Hello, Robin! How are you? Yes, any doctor can prescribe it for pain. However, since it is a controlled substance, if you require it on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. But you'll have to set up an appointment with a doctor, withou... ...

I had an allergic reaction to a medicine that I was prescribed for migraines and on Easter of 2009 I literally died. I flat-lined 3 times and was in a coma for 18 days. Then out of the grace of god a doctor came into my room in the middle of the night and decided to try to Eckmo (sp:) machine on me. IT WORKED! Thank goodness I did wake up and although I had to learn to eat, walk, speak, etc. all over again. All of my organs are 100%. But I ended up with horrible drop foot on both feet and we don't know why, but also horrible bilateral neuropathy. I have been through so many surgeries just so that my feet would actually work so that I could walk again, however we can't seem to control the pain of the neuropathy, because we don't know how I got it. I have run out of options with "pain pills" have been inquiring about subutex as a pain reliever for chronic pain due to a spinal injury. Ive been on just about every pain pill there is and they just don't seem to have enough "power" to keep my pain level at a acceptable position. Anyone with factual information that I can present to my healthcare provider would be my hero. Thanks ## Hello, Lee! How are you? What type of factual information are you looking for? Anything that would be available on this site or others online is the same as what your doctor already has access to for information. There is nothing new I can provide you with.
