Meloxicam 15mg Use

How often can it be taken? My RX says once a day. Is it ok to take 1 in the AM and 1 in the PM? ## I take 15mg meloxicam in the morning and it seems to do ok, but by bed time I have pain and can't sleep. Could I take one Aleve? ## Is 2 aleve twice a day equal to one 15mg melodic am? It does not seem to last 24 hours. ## I have arthritis in my hip and was given a cortisone shot 2 months ago. As it has worn off the pain is gradually returning. I was prescribed meloxicam but started pain management with first Tylenol and am back to Aleve. My last dose was 1 day ago and wonder if it is now ok to try the meloxicam?
