Can I Take Xanax While On Suboxone

If your doc said no, then no. They do U/A's and they specifically check for benzos. They can kick you out of treatment. If you are in treatment and are serious about getting better, don't risk it. I'm doing so well on Suboxone and won't risk anything. I flushed a bottle of Percs, Tramadol, and 200 Xanax. I'm glad. I love being clean. ## And to answer the other side of the question, if you are allowed to take Xanax, then yes, the Naloxone in Suboxone only works to neutralize narcotics, not Benzodiazepines. ## I am so very proud of you. I am taking suboxone 8.2 three times a day and my doctor told me this was the maximum dosage, however i am still struggling with terrible anxiety. I am starting my suboxone treatment tomorrow after I'm into the ever dreaded WD's. My 1st prescription is for 8 mg. 1/2 a pill every hour until the symptoms have subsided. I have been taking 14-17 10 mg. hydrocodones a day for about 1 1/2 yrs. I'm very scared of how I am going to feel for the next few days. I am also dealing with a lot of anxiety. Does anyone know if I can take a 1/2 or whole xanax while taking Suboxone to help with anxiety? I'm reading conflicting reports on this. I've got a call into my dr., but have not heard back yet. My psychiatrist gives me Adderall and Xanax and has been for 2 years. I went to the Suboxone clinic and got Suboxone and I guess it came up in my drug panel at my psychiatrist and she will not prescribe me my meds. Now I'm going through serious withdrawals. I was labeled with panic disorder about three years ago. I've had Klonopin prescribed while I was on suboxone and alto it helped a little tiny bit, it was not nearly enough. I was taking two mg three times daily. Along with 20 mg suboxone daily. That's two and a half pills. I panic for no good reason. My chest is always hurting and heavy and I can't ever catch my breath. I desperately need & want to get off of diladids. I have to have xannax for panic disorder n im scared of the problems with mixing the two. I take .5mg of xannax 1 to 2 times a day. I need a subutex doctor ASAP near Phoenix. I have been on it for a while and I am new to Arizona. ## Dr. Baljeet Singh in Glendale will prescribe subutex if you are pregnant. He did for me 6 years ago. However, I recently went to him and would not treat me because I am also on xanax. I've been seeing a lot of posts regarding taking benzos while on Suboxone. It is ok to take a benzo w/ suboxone - as long as you're taking the prescribed dosages you'll be fine. Now if you're taking 3 or 4 8mgs of Suboxone and say 5 or 6 Xanax that's not good, that's where the reported deaths have come from. I've been on Subs for 5 yrs. I've also been subscribed klonopin and am currently taking valium w/ it and it's fine. I'm on a low dose and only take what I am prescribed. I am in pain management and we get urine tests every so often. Today they said I tested positive for suboxone but I don't even know what that is. My meds include xanax, wellbutrin, effexor, lyrica, percocet, zanaflex tablet. I also take advil etc over the counter and nyquil. Ive been an addict for since I was 17- Im now 33. I had a baby at 22 & ended up in afew detoxes 7 programs some with my baby.
