Why can my DR. not prescribe the HYdrocodone apap 10/660 .reason being i was on it for about 7 years with no side affects and could stop taking it anytime with no problems. The narco 10/325 i have to take twice as many to git the same results, and have constipation problems. ## In Jan 2014, the FDA required manufactuers to limit the amount of tylenol in prescription meds to no more than 325 mgs. They no longer make a med rx with 660 mg tylenol. ## @Rocky, BL is right about the new law limiting the amount of acetaminophen to 325mgs. However to my knowledge there are safer alternatives to acetaminophen (such as Curcumin/Turmeric root) with studies showing that it's as effective as other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs but without side effects when taken as directed. So if that...

My family doctor subscribed 10mg Hydro's for me for continuing pain from a lumbar x 4 back fushion. He told me that these were DOT exceptable providing they did not cause drowsiness. Now that he can no longer do DOT medicals with the laws being changed the new DOT Doc says I have to stop taking them even when prescribed and not at work! Please, what's the true story on this prescription drug??? Thank you, Robert ## DOT states that you must have proof that you're taking them legally if you come back positive for them on a drug panel. But, a lot may depend on exactly what it is that you do. See DOT Rule 49 CFR Part 40 Section 40.139 at the DOT website. ## Dot. says any drug that alters the mind in any way is illegal in a comercial rig.that also includes those wonderful steroid...

How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these medications, but it's always best to double check to be sure. The FDA classifies Prednisone as a steroid, which may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzies, headache, nervousness and irritability. The side effects of this antibiotic may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Hydrocodone with Apap is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is t...

I pulled my back out two weeks ago. My doctor gave me a shot of decadron (steroid) and Valium. I only took 2.5 mg of Valium twice (I don't like taking things I'm unsure of) and it didn't get better all. If I took the last 2.5 mg 12 hours ago is it safe to take 5 mg of hydrocodone? It doesn't appear to interact with my steroid shot but wanted to be sure. ## Hello, IndianaGuy! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between the Decadron and Norco, but you should always double check such information with your doctor or pharmacist. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

will hydrocodone cream thin the blood Yes or no ## Hydrocodone does not come in a cream. I believe you're talking about Hydrocortizone Cream. ## Hello, Mike! How are you? On top of what BL said, no Hydrocortisone in the cream is a topical steroid used to treat skin rashes and allergic reactions. And no, it should not cause blood thinning, because you usually don't absorb much of it. Side effects are usually limited to topical reactions, such as skin irritation and redness. Is there anything else I can help with?

i have a pill that is pink and shaped oblonged and on one side it has the number 93 and the other side 149.can you tell me what kind of pill it is? ## This tablet does not contain Hydrocodone, nor any narcotic of any type. The tablet with the 93 149 marking contains 500mgs of Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Learn more Naproxen details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## 500mg Naproxen by Teva USA. Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug (NSAID). That dosage no longer recommended, 250mg should be the highest single dose anybody should take. Of all NSAIDs, naproxen is the least dangerous - they all, however, increase the chance of sudden stroke or heart attack by a significant degree; worst of all is DICLOFEN...

I've seen Naproxen and have been told Vicodin has this imprint as well. Are Naproxen and Vicodin the same? ## Naproxen and Vicodin are two very different pain medications. To my understanding, the similarities found in the imprint are just a sign that they had been manufactured or redistributed by the same company (Amneal Pharmaceuticals). The IP 190 500 tablet contains Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190); a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Ref: DailyMed The IP 109 tablet contains Vicodin (Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone 5mg); which is a combination of two types of pain medicine - Hydrocodone being an opiate narcotic pain reliever. (NDC 53746-109): Ref: DailyMed Hope this helps! ## You are probably confused because the markings are similar. Generic Norco 5/325mg (Hydrocodone/a...

Is this OK to use for serviear headache/migraine? ## I don't remember why this was prescribed to me as I have multiple medical problems & get bad headaches I read something saying this was for pain? But headaches I don't no? Thanks in advance ## Hi dracey, Sorry to hear about the terrible headaches. However I do want to clarify that "IP 190 500" represents the markings of a 500mg Naproxen tablet, and "NOT" Hydrocodone as you may have originally thought. Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, but it is also a commonly used remedy for treating migraine headaches. I don't know how its overall efficacy compares to other possible treatment options, however, many patients do report that it works well for such conditions. More specific details invol...

I have had 4 steroid injections for sciatic back pain with no relief. I have tried acupuncture to no avail and am now trying the Hydrocodone but am concerned it may be addictive. What signs should I be aware of when taking this medication every day? ## Hello, Maxine! How are you? Yes, the FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I think it will best help you, if I explain how/why addiction happens. Narcotics can cause a high feeling and energy, in some people that take them, but since those are just side effects, these symptoms eventually wear off, as their bodies become used to the medication. Thus, they have to keep taking more an mo...

Just had a root canal. I took 1 hydrocodone 7.5/325 mg and 800 mg of ibuprofen and I'm still in a lot of pain. What else can I do? ## Stacy, Not much, it may take time for the trauma of the root canal therapy to subside. I highly doubt your dentist can or will rx anything stronger. Did they order an antibiotic? Rinsing with warm water may assist as well. Try to rest. The medication sometimes needs time to thoroughly provide relief. If all else fails follow up with the dentist in the am. ## Thank you. I was on one antibiotic but she added another one and a steroid because I wasn't getting any pain relief. Also, my cheek on the same Side as root canal was red and hot to the touch. Since starting additional meds I'm finally feeling some relief. ## Stacy, That's awesome I...

pink on one end and clear on the other has pink powder inside that makes the other side look a lighter pink ## It could be some kind of hydrocodone or pain relief pill. ## I found a small clear pill with pink on the inside. Is it an anabolic steroid? ## Hello, I hope this message finds you having a wonderful day. Let's start by saying that at least we can rule out the possibility of the pill being a legally regulated drug because one of the FDA requirements is having a legible imprint that they can use to identify the pill. In most cases when people tell me they have found a capsule with no imprint it sounds more like a vitamin or supplement as those are not regulated by the FDA and can come in any shape color and size with no imprint. In fact companies can re brand and change a pil...

It's a capsule-shaped white pain pill and on one side its says G 32 and on other side it says 500. Someone said it was a hydrocodone pain pill and wanted information on that pill but I couldn't find a pill with those marking under hydrocodone. So what kind of pain pill is it? ## G 32, divided by a line down that side of the tablet and 500 on the other side is Naproxen 500 mg. Naproxen is a anti inflammatory. It is the same medication that is in Aleve, but in a higher mg.There is no hydrocodone in it. ## I can confirm that the white capsule shaped pill with imprint G 32 500 is Naproxen (500 mg). It is manufactured by Glenmark and has a National Drug Code of 68462-0190. Like BL mentioned, Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It is commonly used for the reduction of ...

I hope these ease the pain. ## Hello, Sparkey! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. The FDA classifies Methylprednisolone as a steroid class medication, thus, I believe the intention here is to have it reduce the inflammation that may be contributing to your pain. Is there aspirin in norco ## Hi sue, The answer to your question is no. Norco contains: Hydrocodone Bitartrate + Acetaminophen I think acetaminophen is commonly misconstrued as being aspirin, however they are not the same. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID) where as acetaminophen is not. I hope this info helps! ## Acetaminophen (Tylenol) has no anti- inflammatory ability, so is NOT an NSAID. Having said that, it is otherwise, very similar in effect. It's good for fever, headache, and some pains but not those caused by inflammation.

I am only 39yrs old and my pain management Doctor referred me to this type of pain medication since I am way to young to have back surgery. He had a prescription given to him here which is hydrocodone. Will he have any issues with his employer? ## Hello, Mar! How are you? No, Ardosons doesn't contain anything he'd need to worry about. The FDA lists the active ingredients as including Indomethacin, Betamethasone and Methocarbamol, which in order are a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, a steroid and a muscle relaxant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, weight gain, acne and drowsiness. Hi, I have had chronic back pain for years and have seen various doctors for the problem. Most have prescribed either tramadol or hydrocodone along with muscles relaxers sometimes. I've also tried a round of steroids (prednisone) as well as non pharmaceutical options like physical therapy, stretching and light exercise when I can tolerate it in an effort to strengthen my core. Most of these treatments have helped to some degree but the pain inevitably returns (and really many of the medications have only slightly dulled the pain but I still have had difficulty getting through the day even when taking them. So my question is, are there any sympathetic docs in the Austin area (or north like Cedar Park or Leander) who are willing to prescribe stronger pain meds and muscle relaxers anym...
