Oxycontin 30mg Difference In Strength To 10 325 Hydrocodone
2 Replies RSS
I take three hydrocodone 10/325 at once. Would taking one 30 oxycontin be the the same? ## Taking one 30mg Oxycontin would not be the same as taking three 10/325mg Vicodin tablets. I say this for a number of good reasons: 1. Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone are completely different drugs than Oxycontin (different chemical structures mean different effects as well as side effects) 2. Oxycontin is an extended release version of Oxycodone; meaning that it's effects will last a lot longer than Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone in and of themselves. 3. The inactive ingredients are also going to be different in each medication; which means you may have a completely different reaction to one v.s. the other. 4. There's a good reason your prescribed one and not the other. Oxycontin from what I hear... ...

Hydrocodone Besides Vicodin What Other Names Does Drug Go By
1 Reply RSS
I was perscribed vicodin 750 es and then norco was told they were same and also available under other names. Is this true, and what other names do they come in? ## Yes, both Vicodin and Norco contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone as the active ingredients. Another name it is sold under would be Lortab and it is also available as a generic, so that would be listed as just the active ingredients. There are also a few different dosage strengths available. Learn more Vicodin details here. What you were first prescribed, Vicodin ES means an extra strength formulation of Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone and the larger number, like the 750 you listed is the amount of Acetaminophen in them. It helps the narcotic to work better. The Hydrocodone itself is only available up to a maximum of 10mgs. Is ... ...

Blue and white capsule imprint watson on one side 3220 on the other supposed to be 30 mg hydrocodone ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? There is no manufactured 30mg Hydrocodone available in the U.S., it is only available combined with Acetaminophen and the tablets that are available only have a maximum of 10mgs of the Hydrocodone. Other doses are available by a compounding pharmacy, if a doctor specially orders them, but they would not have an imprint such as this on the capsules. That said, the white and blue capsule with this marking contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen, 50mgs of Butalbital, 40mgs of Caffeine and 30mgs of Codeine, it is most commonly used to treat migraines and tension headaches. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there an... ...

2 Replies RSS
My elderly mother has shingles and was give hydrocodone 5mg with 325 mg acetaminophen. Can i give her half a tablet every three hours instead of a full tablet every six hours to cut down on the possibility of dizziness and falling? ## You need to wait 4 hrs because of the tylenol. ## And it really should be dosed as prescribed by her doctor. Has she experienced dizziness from it? If so, you could try giving her half a tablet every 4 to 6 hours, if her doctor approves. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...

Hydrocodone + Potassium Guaiacolsulfonate + Pseudoephedrine
Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opioid derived from codeine. Hydrocodone is used orally as an analgesic and antitussive (cough medicine), often in combination with paracetamol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen.[1] Hydrocodone is prescribed predominantly within the United States; elsewhere it is rare. The International Narcotics Control Board reported 99% of the worldwide supply in 2007 was consumed in the United States.[2] The Administrative Controlled Substances Code Number (ACSCN) for hydrocodon...

Help me Dr gave me Hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325TB. My Esophgrus is burning so bad, I now have runny nose and a cough. He gave it to me for leg and back pain. I should say that I also take Nexium fore acid reflex ## Hello, Lee! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. How much water did you take it with? This frequently occurs if someone takes a pill with just a small sip of liquid, or swallows it dry. With the runny nose and cough being added to the mix, that leads me to suspect that it might have your GERD acting up. If you did take it with a full, 8 ounce glass of water, then you need to consult your doctor, because this just might not be the right medication for you to take, since something else may be causing the problem. ...

6 Replies RSS
i'm on ocycontin 60mg 4xs daily my break through pain med is either hydrocodone 10-650 or oxycodone w acetaminophen 5-325 which is more effective for pain relief i have to chose one ## At that narcotic dosage, 10mgs of Hydrocodone, versus 5mgs of Oxycodone, they are roughly equivalent. The only way to see which one may be more effective for you is to actually try one of them and see how it works. The Hydrocodone option does have more Acetaminophen in it. so you may also want to base your decision on how concerned you are about that, since it can cause some stomach problems. They both have the same side effect profile, since they are both narcotics, and this may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and stomach irritation. is hydroco/apap 5-325 mg stronger than BUTALBITAL, ACETAMINOPHEN, CAFFEINE, AND CODEINE tablets i have BUTALBITAL, ACETAMINOPHEN, CAFFEINE, AND CODEINE tablets for migraine headaches. I had a very bad fall and hurt my arm, shoulder and knee. they gave me hydroco/apap 5-325 mg for the pain. Which of the two is stronger for pain relief? ## Hello, Ann! How are you? Codeine is actually very weak, so for that type of pain, you'll most likely be better off with the Hydrocodone that they've prescribed, it is much stronger and better able to handle the pain from an injury, such as that which occurred due to your fall. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is ... ...

please tell me the differenc between these 2 drugs. ## Though the difference is rather irrelevant now in most countries, I'll still cover the basics, since someone else may be curious. The Propoxyphene with Acetaminophen was a generic for Darvocet, it was a very mild narcotic pain reliever. Learn more Darvocet details here. The Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a much more potent narcotic pain reliever that's often better known by the brand names Vicodin, Norco and Lortab. I looked it up and looks exactly like a hydrocodone but slightly thinner in size, please help me figure out what this pill is, im guessing its an over the counter pill but thats just my educated guess ## Hello, MissC! How are you? No, that is the only tablet they manufacture with this marking on it. Watson lists it as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. They can't use the same marking on over the counter products, that would be illegal. It may be thinner due to the fact that they've been changing the formulation of their products to remove the dyes from them, due to some people being allergic to them. hydrocodone 10 325 - Works well for me - Having trouble with Doctors prescribing it now.
5 Replies RSS
I have been on different dosages of Norco/Vicodin for about 5 years, since I recovered from a serious illness. Over time, my doctors and I have tried an enormous amount of different combinations of drugs to relieve the chronic pain along with the other symptoms. I finally found a combination that works for me, however I'm having difficulty with doctors prescribing the hydrocodone acetaminophen 10-325. Is this because of the rise in illegal sales of the drug? I used to be on 4 a day and now with the Lyrica and low dose Voltaren, 2 a day works excellent. I haven't been this productive, or felt even remotely useful for so long. Are there any substitutes equivalent to the Norco, or even close that doctors aren't so hesitant to prescribe? ## Hello, Jo! How are you? Yes, new regul... ...
