I have had a fever ranging from 100.5 to 102.0 for just over 24 hours. Fever went away and felt great all day today. But came back this evening. My body aches so bad and cannot get comfortable or fall asleep! I took a hydrocodone 5/325 an hour ago and my temp is still up. Is it OK to take a 500mg naproxen? I NEED SLEEP! ## They can be taken together, as long as your doctor approves. Some people do take both, or alternate them to get better control of pain, or fevers. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Are you on any other medications?

I've seen Naproxen and have been told Vicodin has this imprint as well. Are Naproxen and Vicodin the same? ## Naproxen and Vicodin are two very different pain medications. To my understanding, the similarities found in the imprint are just a sign that they had been manufactured or redistributed by the same company (Amneal Pharmaceuticals). The IP 190 500 tablet contains Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190); a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Ref: DailyMed The IP 109 tablet contains Vicodin (Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone 5mg); which is a combination of two types of pain medicine - Hydrocodone being an opiate narcotic pain reliever. (NDC 53746-109): Ref: DailyMed Hope this helps! ## You are probably confused because the markings are similar. Generic Norco 5/325mg (Hydrocodone/a...

Hydros say IP 109 and Naproxen says IP 190 ## Hi amanda, Thanks for clearing up any confusion between the two pills! From what I could gather, another differentiating factor is that Naproxen's tablet also has "500" imprinted on the other side of IP 190; whereas with Hydrocodone/Apap, IP 109 is the only imprint. Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190): Ref: DailyMed Hydrocodone/Apap 5mg-325mg (NDC 53746-109): Ref: DailyMed Hope this helps! ## Is "ip190" and "tramadol hcl 50mg" the same thing?

IP 190 with a divided line on the back of the pill is hydrocodone 5mg with 500mg acetaminophen. Definitely similar to the naproxen IP 190 with 500 on the other side. ## The tablet with the IP 190 500 marking is 500mgs of Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. The other tablet has the marking of IP 109 and it is a generic for Vicodin that contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The two different imprints have been confused here on other threads.

I had a spinal fusion on Nov 8, 2016... 6 week checkup w/ PA on Dec 20th... Trochanteric Bursitis... Shots given in each hip... She had renewed my prescription of Hydrocodone 7.5/325 before seeing me... I was in horrible pain, told her I couldn't believe she'd switched medication strength prior to seeing me, so she prescribed original Hydrocodone 10/325 and Naproxen 500mg 2x daily... Approx. day 4, "Ah! Relief everywhere I swear! So... I put away the Hydro 10's (40 remained) and stepped down to the 7.5's." I was taking 2 every 6 hours, at one particular dose about an hour and a half later, "Woohoo!" At this point, I took the pills down to 1 every 6 hours, comfortable, able to continue my PT... Tried getting off the medication on my own Jan. 11th to the 15...

I take several medications and see to be having issues on occasion and I am wondering if I should be taking all these meds at specific times other that what the label says to get the best benefits and possibly have less yucky issues. My body isn't absorbing all my medications or all of my food. Clearly what goes in the mouth should not come out the other end in the same form as it went in. Here's my list of all my medications: Spiriva, Baclofen 10mg, Cymbalta 60mg, Dicyclomine 10mg, Hydrocodone/Acetamenophen 5-325, Levothyroxine 0.075mcg, Naproxen 500mg, Nexium 40mg, Pravastatin 20mg, Ventolin HFA INH, Victoza IV Pen 1.2mg, Vitamin D 5,000 ID, Prednisone 20mg Thank you very much for your time. ## Hello, Winona! How are you? I think I could help you better if you can clarify a li...

I have a large, very painful hemangioma on my S1. I have been given hydrocodone-acetaminophen 10-325,ibuphrophen 800 mg, gabapentin, 300 mg and Tizanidine 4 mg which helps. Over the weekend, I have run out of Tizanidine and am in a lot of pain, also the sciatica is the worst. I was wondering if I could take naproxyn 500 mg to see me through the two days. ## Can Naproxyn be taken instead of Tizanidine? ## Naproxen is an anti-inflammatory and should Not be taken if you're taking ibuprofen or another anti-inflammatory drugs. Tizanidine is a muscle relaxer. ## @Shirley, If you're considering an alternative to the Tizanidine (muscle relaxer) for those times when you run out, I think it might be a good idea to look into research on effective doses of Valerian root which is also revere...
