Having problems with these doing much for relief. Tying to come back from cancer and other medical problems. Here they are just aspirin. ## Hi Larry, Will they not prescribe you anything else but this mid-level Vicodin? I find it odd that patients without such conditions have access to much stronger pain medications. Although I wouldn't wish those addicting opiates on anyone, sometimes intervention is necessary to get the initial relief you need. If your doctor is unwilling to prescribe what you feel you need, then it may be time to switch doctors to someone who specializes in pain management. The odds of getting a stronger medication are higher through a pain management doctor, since they focus most of their attention on pain, as opposed to a general M.D. I hope this helps! ## Hydr... ...

It is two different kind of medication ## No. Hydrocodone has acetaminophen which is the ingredient in Tylenol. ## @cheeky, Yes, I agree with what everyone else said. Just to help clarify, every drug name which you listed in your message are actually different ingredients altogether. hydrocodone acetaminophen 7 5 325 t/ verses 5-325 TB

I recently was on 7.5 325 T and doc just switched me to 5-325-TB. What is the difference between the two? As in what amount of aspirin/Tylenol, does the amount in prescription strength, above mean? I have severe lower back pain, after standing or walking for several hours, as well as after strenuous work around the house, bending stooping, etc., & an MRI showed spinal stenosis. As well as the knee pain, I've had for years! So switching down in meds, as the doc prescribed, may not work. That's why I was wanting to know what the difference in the two meds are? Which Is Stronger Hydrocodone 10 325 Or Oxycodone 5 325

I have been taking Hydrocodone 10/325 for chronic pain, 1 pill every 6 hours. My Dr. just prescribed Oxycodone 5/325 with up to 2 pills every 6 hours. Which is stronger? ## The oxy is stronger but who knows your body may b used 2 the vicoden. But if he is allowing u 2 take 2 @ a time it would b better if he would just give u the percocet 10/325 as it would b as effective with 1/2 the amount of aspirin. Try it out n post your feedback. ## Scott is correct, the Oxycodone is actually stronger than the Hydrocodone. To equal 10mgs of the Hydrocodone, you only need 6.67mgs of the Oxycodone, so I'd advise caution when you first take them, you probably shouldn't take 2 of them, until you try one and see how well it works for you. Are there any questions or comments? ## Thank you for the... ...

I want to know if you can only take Tylenol because of surgery in a few days can I take hydro's for something a little stronger? ## Hello, Pat! How are you? If you have been told that you should only take Tylenol/Acetaminophen, then that is all you should take. There are reasons for it, due to the bleeding and possible interactions with anesthesia that some other drugs can cause. And Hydrocodone is a narcotic, so yes, it could cause some problems.
