Does anyone have any information about Mintran as a treatment for Fibromyalgia? My primary care physician prescribed Lyrica but I didn't like the way it made me feel, especially with having to work. I went to my chiropractor today and he recommended the Mintran. Anybody have any thoughts on this? ## Hello, Shelby! How are you? Min-Tran is just a supplement product that is claimed to support a healthy nervous systems and to help maintain emotional balance. It's listed as containing Calcium, Iodine and Magnesium. Thus, there's really no harm in trying it, if your doctor approves, but there's no guarantee that it will help with anything. Due to the magnesium in it, the FDA warns that it may cause diarrhea in some people that take it. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

I am very sorry that you're in pain. However, this website does not manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any medications, it is an information only website. My local pharmacies do not have this med. I have a prescription and cannot get it filled. When will it be available? ## Hello, Tina! How are you? The FDA classifies this as topical glucocorticoid steroid and it's not commonly used. It might be easiest to speak to your doctor about prescribing an alternative medication that would be easier to find. Another idea is that if you have a pharmacy you use regularly, you could try asking them to order it in for you. Since it is used topically, the side effect are usually related to that and may include skin irritation, redness, itching and acne. Is there anything else I can help with? ## No, Thanks

I have taken hydrocodone 5/325 for knee pain as needed for about 9months, while waiting to move to a different city. I finally made the move in mid December, and had total knee replacement on Feb. 4. After having morphine and a shot block to that leg, pain in the hospital was manageable. Upon discharge, I was given a prescription for Oxycodone. These worked fine so long as I took two. (rx said " 1-2 tablets"). When these were gone, the doctor replaced them with hydrocodone 7.5/325. These just dont work. To get any relief, I have to take extra Tylenol with them, and then I only get relief for about 3 hours, not 6. Is there an alternative pain med I could ask for? I know he is concerned about my getting addicted, but I didn't get addicted in the 9months because I only took the...

MY DOCTOR IN MAINE SAYS HE CAN NO LONGER PRESCRIBE METHADONE FOR PAIN ANYMORE BY LAW BECAUSE IT CAUSE ARISMA TO YOUR HEART. (IS THIS TRUE OR NOT) ## I have to admit that I can't find anything on this, but it is highly possible. For various reasons, many states on the east coast and into the mid-west have been making radical changes to their prescribing laws. Some of them restrict what general practitioners can and cannot prescribe, as well as how long they can prescribe something, how much they can prescribe each month and etc. Learn more Methadone details here. Since he is a licensed medical practitioner, I have to think that your doctor would know what he's talking about. Is there a drug like Zoloft that you can buy over the counter? I need something to help me through a couple of days of tough times. ## Hello Johnny, In regards to actual medicine there really isn't going to be anything that is going to be over the counter that you can pick up. The reason for this is that drugs that are used for anti depressant purposes often have both an addictive nature and side effects that can cause suicidal tendencies. What I can say is that there are some "natural supplements" that claim to have anti-depression benefits. If you are just looking to get through a small window where you don't have a prescription filled this may be the best route for you to try. Here are a couple of supplements that I found that are claimed to help. - Sam-e - Tryptophan...

I have a prescription from my dr for Norco 10mg, qty 90. My insurance won't cover this medication so I'm looking for a web-based pharmacy that can fill it at a reasonable price; also I prefer only quality generic brand. I am 100 percent legit and will not do business with overseas companies, I know how to determine fraud. ## Unfortunately, since this is a controlled substance, it cannot be purchased in such a manner. A brick and mortar one is your only option, unless your insurance provides a mail order service. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. the pharmacies in philly do not have endocet and will probably not get it until next month( March ) ## I'm sorry, this has been an ongoing problem, due to the enforcement of the regulations on how much they can order and have in stock each month. The best suggestion I can make is to speak to your doctor and see if there's an alternative medication, or a different dosage that you can take in the meantime, since some others may be in stock. Have you tried the smaller pharmacies? Anyone needing more Endocet details can find them here. ## This is still going on, unless you've been going to a certain sm. mom and pop Pharm., they either say not til the end of May or not at all. yet i know people who go to the same one i do, they get the Endo, i get IP204's. where are they located legally, with insurance and a ligit. doctor who rescribed it for me. ## Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what pharmacy may have a supply of any given medication in stock, at any given time. Many people are having a problem getting them filled, due to the fact that the manufacturing quota has been met for the year and manufacturers are unable to make and ship a new supply. Things should return to normal in January. In the meantime, you may want to speak to your doctor about using an alternative medication. Are there any other questions or comments?

Can Pur-Bloka or it's generic be bought over the counter? What alternatives are there to Pur-Bloka? I'm using it once a day for mild nervousness. ## Pur-Bloka contains the active ingredient Propranolol, it is a beta blocker, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac related conditions. Thus, I am not sure how it is supposed to help with nervousness of any type. In the U.S. and other countries that regulate their medications, it is only available by prescription. I don't know where you are located, so I have no way of knowing if the same is true for you, or not. Can you post back with your location? ## In South Africa it is used to treat Anxiety, you do need a perscription. I have Bi-polar type 2. I get very nervous in front of people and my neck an...

have gone to every cvs around becayse i dont think i can go to d different pharmacy ## With a legitimate prescription, you can go to any pharmacy to get it filled, it doesn't have to be the same one that you had others filled at. It is perfectly fine to do so, as long as your aren't trying to get several prescriptions filled for the same medication. However, many areas are experiencing a shortage, right now, so you may still have trouble getting it filled. The best advice I can give is to talk to your doctor about an alternative medication that you can try, in the meantime. ## Donna Ratliff, a Florida advocate for people with pain who are having trouble getting their prescriptions filled, is planning a rally at the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee for September 10. Can someone please tell me where I can fill my Methadone prescription. I live in south Philadelphia and I've been trying to find a pharmacy for the past two weeks. Please help! ## HI, Natalia! I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. A very large pharmaceutical distributor was recently shut down on the east coast, so many pharmacies are on back order for controlled substances. Have you talked to your doctor and your pharmacist? There may be an alternative dosage or alternative medication that you can take in the meantime. ## I'm in the same boat in the same area south Philly. My insurance isn't covering this, Anthem Pathway. What is an alternative? ## Hi Meatbe, There are a large number of different blood pressure medications to choose from in the realm of prescription drugs. Linked below is Anthem's 2015 drug formulary, representing their list of covered cardiovascular/hyptertension-related medications on page 28: anthem.com/ca/shop/content/olspublic/pdf/2015/english/MAPD_ComForm_Adv_CA_LA.pdf What I would probably encourage you to do is print out this page and bring it to your doctor to better determine which options are most appropriate based on your condition as well as what your specific plan is willing to cover. I hope this helps!

I tested positive for PAI-1 and MTHFR C-factor, and I am pregnant. Why would they prescribe Folbic? Should I also be taking a blood thinner? Help, I am worried. ## I have a history of blood clots and anuerysums and was diagnosed with MTHFR. I am on Folbic twice a day and Bayer Low Dose once a day. I hope your doctor has talked to you by now about starting a Bayer regimen. ## You might want to ask your doctor about L-methylfolate. Women with the MTHFR polymorphism have a limited ability to break down synthetic folic acid (found in Folbic). This puts you at risk for folate deficiency related pregnancy complications. I work with NeevoDHA, a prenatal specifically indicated for women with the MTHFR mutation. NeevoDHA contains active L-methylfolate as an alternative to synthetic folic acid. L...

I am looking for a prescription drug or an otc drug to give me energy to get through the day. I stay very tired and sleepy throughout the day. ## Hi snickers, In my opinion, there are many other natural alternatives out there that are better than any of the prescription or otc drugs; but if I had to suggest an otc one, it would be OxyElite Pro by USP Labs. Other people go the prescription route and opt for drugs like Phentermine; but I personally don't think it's worth the possible side effects. Do you drink coffee or tea regularly? ## While looking this up to see what it was, because I'm having similar issues, I found this. fda.gov/MedicationHealthFraud/ucm436017.htm
