Been taking 40 mg methadone daily for 6 -7 years for pain management . Some reason my meds came up short this month and I've had to lower my dose in half to make it to my refill day. I'm feeling like crap being this is 3rd day and have 3 more to go until I can refill my script just would think keeping methadone in your system you wouldn't get sick , I've even taken a few Extra norco for break threw pain and also take Ativan for anxiety I really thought I could take a few extra of my other meds to stop the yucky feeling I just take the 20 mg methadone in morning. Should I take 10 mg in morning and 10 mg in afternoon ? As it is now , I'm not getting my second dose Wish I would had never started this medicine , it's great for pain management but it's just a scar...

I would lwould like to know what a 40 milligram methadone disc it looks like they have new one so I'm not sure and I meant scribes them and I have white ones in there a lot smaller like a size of a quarter I just want to make sure that's what they are before I take them my Dr just describe them to me yesterday you know it says methadone on there I still want to make sure they take 10 milligrams and now I take 40 milligram disc it and I break them in half ## Hi, Blueyes! Looking to ascertain total volume in miligrams of the combined active and inactive ingredients of a 5mg. and a 10mg. Methadone pill ## I would like to know in a 40 mg waffer is a large, average or small amount to be on per day for a pain releaver? I also take 30 mg of roxey codone 3 X per day for breakthrough and it's only been 3 days and I feel it's working but I do feel alittle more pain then when I was taking my other medications. Can you break the methadone 10mg into half?? ## Dear Samantha, yes, u can break them in half. It might b easier 2 get a pill cutter. They work great. U can get them at cvs or pretty much any pharmacy. They r sold over the counter. ## Yes as far as I know, personally have broken in half over ten years. Have chronic pain and when I was not in as much pain I often only took half (5 mg.). Contact your pharmacist first, if you call your Dr. they might decrease dose, feeling you don't need as much, I am assuming you take for pain relief. If so may days you will need dose prescribed. Wish that was my problem, after ten yrs. a new doctor said I abused, took other non-prescribed drugs and street pills. I have been taking methadone 10 mg bid and klonopin 1mg bid for the past 25 years. Yesterday my doctor gave me a blood drug screening test and a half hour later they said the klonopin did not show up. Therefore they quit writing me my klonopin and I will go into withdrawals soon. I have always taken both drugs regularly everyday for 25 years. How did this happen? Why didn't I test positive for klonopin since I ate a 1 mg tablet after breakfast with my 10mg methadone. The test was a blood test that started with a D- and some numbers. I am so sick with real medical problems and I have to put up with my own doctor and staff not believing me and thinking I'm selling these klonopin. I feel so angry and want to prove I'm telling the truth. But how?
