where do I buy this product? How much is it? how many calories in 8 oz. ? ## From what I can find, in the U.S. and Canada this requires a prescription from a doctor, which means it would be purchased from your pharmacy, however, I don't have any pricing information. As to the calories, that will depend on the specific formulation that is prescribed. There are different ones, such as milk based ones, so it would vary depending on which is being used. Has a doctor advised you to use this?

The FDA also warns that it may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. How much have you gained? Are you on any other medications?

I've been on it since last July and have lost 38 lbs, but I hit a plateau about a month ago. I am trying to limit calories and walking 3 miles a day. I have successfully lost 100lbs over the last 2 years. I went off chlorthalidone three weeks ago and I have gained about 10 pounds while lowering my calories by 50 a day. My period and blood pressure are staying great but I'm depressed and don't want to get fat again. I had been on 25 mg every other day for nearly six years. I then stopped taking it at once, not gradually. What are the side effects of HCG? ## Hi Terry, The HCG diet seems like a pretty extreme way to lose weight. Personally, I have my doubts about it's long term effectiveness, due to the lack of calories and nutrients needed to fuel your mind & body throughout the day, everyday. You can easily determine the side effects of eating 500 calories a day, by only eating 500 a day and assessing how you feel (although I don't recommend trying it for your own sanity).
