If it is not, then by all means, I think this would be an effective way to get your calcium, provided that you can't swallow the pills themselves. You can also consider emptying the contents into a glass of water or raw fruit juice to take it that way. I hope this helps!

Another alternative would be to ask your doctor about an over the counter equivelent, you would have to take more of the medication to hit the same dose, but it might be cheaper that way. ## Generic for Phoslo (Calcium Acetate) is used to treat hyperphosphatemia (high blood phosphate levels) in patients with kidney disease.

Please post back so I can help you better. ## I found a pill the other day when getting out of class. it was a pretty big capsule, half white half blue and both had imprints 54215 on them ## 54 215 is Calcium acetate 667 mg, which is used for reducing phosphate levels in late-stage kidney failure.
