What are the effects and side effects of Calten D? ## Calten-D contains: Calcium carbonate, Vitamin D3, and Elemental Zinc. This is simply a prenatal Vitamin and Mineral supplement to help support a healthy pregnancy. As far as side effects go, if the dose of this medication is higher than the US RDA (recommended daily allowance) there is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk (e.g., if the drug is needed in a life-threatening situation or for a serious disease for which safer drugs cannot be used or are ineffective). A child was given heavy doses of baby cal since he was a few month old, he was late to walk, still unable to talk at the age of 2 and half and developped a vision problem of five degrees in each eye, can the heavy doses given to him previously be cause of these problems

Am in a quandary. A friend has asked me to get him Levocal, which Im in the process of doing. He already takes half a pill (.5 of 250 mg) a day, but wants more. He has Parkinsons. Am totally unaware if he has thyroid problems. I just dont want to risk doing him any harm. Any suggestions? Opinions?
