Can a Bupropion HCL 100 MG tablet (blue, M one side, 435 other side) be cut in half? I have not read that it's an extended release, which I understand can not be cut. ## Yes, that is a regular release tablet, so you can cut it in half, if necessary, as long as your doctor, or pharmacist approves. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

is this cerizine ia a sleeping tablet?. FOR WHAT PURPUS IT WILL USE? MINIMUM HOW MG TAKE A NORMAL ASTHMA PATIENT ## No, this is not a sleeping pill. Cetirizine, the active ingredient in Zyrtec, is an antihistamine that is used to treat or prevent allergy symptoms, however, it can cause drowsiness in some people, as a side effect. As to how much of a dosage you should take, you should really consult your doctor, especially if you are on any other medications and have other health conditions. The standard dose is usually 10mgs, once a day. Has your doctor advised you to use this? ## I've taken 20 cetzine tablets each of 10 mg few months back. But due to stress i didnt slept that night and nothing happened so far. Why nothing happened? Will there be any side effects in future? ## Its gud

I wanted to find out if this has Sudafed in it and if it has to have a prescription to get it? ## Hi famous, How are you? To answer your question, Claritin (also known as Loratadine) does not contain any Sudafed (Pseudoephedrine) in and of itself. However, it is "available in combination" with that specific medication as well as others. It will also require a prescription from your doctor here in the US, but I'm not aware of the laws in other countries. I hope this helps!

can i take vgr100 while taking lisinopril 10mg. please let me know ## Hello, Ocean! How are you? You shouldn't combine these, without your doctor's approval. Viagra can also lower your blood pressure, so combining it with the Lisinopril could cause your blood pressure to go too low and may put you in danger. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Viagra as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stuffy nose, blurred vision and priapism. The side effect to Lisinopril may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

If you hvae high blood pressure can you take these two meds at the same time? Or will it cause your blood pressure to go up? ## It actually has nothing to do with using the medications together, they aren't known to cause any interactions. The problem stems from the fact that the Cetirizine is an antihistamine and they, by their very nature, can raise blood pressure. Have you discussed it with your doctor? Its really going to depend on your blood pressure levels and how dangerous it might be for you to use an antihistamine. If your blood pressure is staying at a normal level, so the elevation it may cause won't put you in any danger, your doctor might decide that it is safe for you to take it. However, I know when mine was still somewhat high, they restricted me to only using Be...

why do people post such important and subject themselves to a potential medical situation- why not just pick up the phone and call YOUR DR. or GO THE PHARMACY AND ASK THEM! Really people!- ## @romine, Well I can't speak for everyone, but I do know that some questions of this nature don't necessarily need to be answered by a doctor specifically. For example, if there is a score line on your pill then it's usually safe to be cut in half, since that's what it's intended for. In the case that there's no dividing line, then it certainly would be a good idea to contact your doctor or pharmacy first and foremost (especially if they are time-released tablets). And even then, not all medical professionals know how a drug is going to end up effecting you until you start ta...

I've been working to reduce my reliance on pain medications with my doctor's help. I've been able to come down from 200mg morphine sulfate to 15mg MS Contin. The doctor said he was happy where I was but I wanted to try and go further. He wrote a script for 10mg Kadian since a lesser dose of MS Contin wasn't available. Unfortunately, my doc's son died suddenly and he's away. I cannot find a pharmacy that is able to fill this prescription. I live in a metro area. He had said if I had trouble filling it thinking my insurance might not cover it to call him and he'd write the script for my old dosage of MS Contin. He's not available and will be out approx. 2 months. He came in to write this month's scripts for his patients but his staff neglected to mentio...

I take losartan-hctz100-25mg 1 a day. Could this make me lose my hair? Have been on it for 2 months and starting to lose my hair Is this a side effect? Also take verapamil er 240mg for around 2 years. ## Hi jenny, According to The National Library of Medicine, Losartan can in fact cause alopecia (hair loss) as a side effect. It doesn't appear to be very common though since this side effect is not listed in other directories, but it does happen. If it becomes unbearable, you may want to consider switching medications or looking into a natural alternative that may be safer to use in the long run. Have you had a chance to discuss this concern with your doctor yet? ## Am on Losartan, Inderal, clonidine, I have been on these for 3 years and have lost over half of my hair, are there alter...

Can we take cetirizine (Zyrtec 10 mg) and ambroxol (Mucosolvan 75 mg) together? I am 53 yrs old. Having phlegm and coughing on and off for two weeks. Have been taking Fluimusil in the past few days. Also tried taking Rhinothoil Promethazine syrup when it started. ## You should be able to combine these, as long as your doctor approves, but it would be best not do so, without medical approval. I get sick from pain meds and never taken it before! I'm on oxycodone 10mg immediate release, well my doctor added oxycotin 10mg extended release to it. ## Hello, Lucky! How are you? No, you can't cut or break the Oxycontin tablets. They must be taken whole. These new ones are intended to be tamper proof, to prevent someone abusing them, so it you try to cut or break them, you just end up with a pile of gummy goo that retains all the active ingredient in it and keeps its time released properties. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
