What is the definition of word CHAD for determining need for blood thinners in adults with atrial fibrillation? ## Hello, Davie! How are you? This test helps your doctor determine your risk of stroke due to a-fib, the higher the score, the greater the risk, thus the need for blood thinners to try to prevent a stroke, as defined by the NIH. The newer ones are more in-depth and take several factors into account, before assigning someone a score. Is there anything else I can help with?

My feet , legs , arms, and face have had 3rd degree burns im in constant pain , i had knee surgery to repair my acl mcl and and also cartlidge fixed . I was also in car accident where i now suffer from right hip pain the top of my head toward the back is numb. I cant hardly stand on feet for 10 minutes they start to swell and go numb. My left shoulder is seperated.

I started my son's antibiotic today at 10:30am. He is prescribed 1 Amoxicillin 250mg chewable tablet 3 times a day for 10 days. I was curious what are the times to give this to him today, also if I can change the time to 7:30am/3:30-45pm/8-9:30pm tomorrow? He starts back to school on monday morning and I would like to give it to him before school then after school and before bed daily for the remainder of the ten days. Would that be ok? ## Yes, unless the doctor specifically prescribed it as needing to be taken every 8 hours, then you can dose it this way, it doesn't have to be precise. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

Just wanted to give others a "heads up" in case you see major changes in your loved ones. I just got back from a scare with my mother. About two weeks ago, I started receiving phone calls from relatives regarding my mother's health. They were concerned because she seemed frail, disoriented and just "not herself". My brother had visited her on Labor Day and had not noticed anything unusual, so in just a few short weeks, she had really taken a turn for the worse. On Tuesday, I received a call, and my mother was in the Emergency Room, as her doctor feared that she had had a small stroke. I quickly drove 4 hours to be ...
