Campho-phenique Pain Relieving Antiseptic Liquid Camphor + Phenol

Camphor (/kæmfr/) is a waxy, flammable, transparent solid with a strong aroma.[5] It is a terpenoid with the chemical formula C10H16O. It is found in the wood of the camphor laurel (Cinnamomum camphora), a large evergreen tree found in East Asia; and in the related kapur tree (Dryobalanops sp.), a tall timber tree from South East Asia. It also occurs in some other related trees in the laurel family, notably Ocotea usambarensis. Rosemary leaves (Rosmarinus officinalis) co...

my doctor has prescribed potassium citrate ER 10 meq tab. I just recently had my first bout with kidney stones. It's so expensive but my doctor said there's not a cheaper med. that is equivalent to this on the market. I live in Las Vegas, Nv. Can you help me? ## Hi roy, Apparently there are MUCH cheaper alternatives to potassium citrate. Lemon juice is one option that exhibits similar efficacy to potassium citrate in the treatment of urinary calcium stones in patients with hypocitraturia. Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18946667 Potassium bicarbonate (found in some fire extinguishers) and baking soda (Sodium bicarbonate) are two other alternatives that may also be much cheaper. Additionally, potassium citrate is found naturally in many foods. Foods high in potassium citrate include...

I just had eye surgery and was given Norco (4x a day) and Motrin (3x a day) to take for pain, can I take them at the same time or do I need to space them out? ## Hi Chris, Hope you're recovering well from the surgery. From what I could gather, there are no drug interactions listed between Norco (acetaminophen + hydrocodone) and Motrin (ibuprofen). So I don't see why it wouldn't be ok to take them both together if that's what you need to do in order to achieve adequate pain relief. Also as long as it's the same doctor who prescribed both, I think that he/she would've informed you up front of any possible risks involved with doing so if there really were serious consequences to be had. I hope this helps!

I'm trying to find a pharmacy that carries Qualitest Norco 10/325. I'll go to Fort Myers as well. Anyone know of a place? ## Hello, Kat! How are you? Due to the recent changes that required all of these combination medications to be lowered to now more than 325mgs per dose, many of them are hard to find right now, because the demand for these doses has exceeded the current supply and trying to find one from a specific manufacturer further complicates matters. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you have a problem with the ones manufactured by other companies?

Why has Bayer Inc stopped making Campho-Phenique??? Is it really a health hazard that Bayer is hiding??? ## My mom is a pharmacist and she said that the FDA has made Bayer stop producing this drug for now because it was unregulated and it's claims were not substantiated or something to that effect. Basically it was old and worked really good and the gov decided to halt it because it was too old and not under the same regulations as modern stuff. It's safety was not documented. Maybe they can put it out again later. ## Probably too inexpensive and worked better than new stuff. Love that stuff, and used to be cheap for people on a tight budget. Can't let anything cut into the bottom line.

I started clindamycin about 30 hours ago. Before I got it my wisdom tooth was hurting excruciatingly, and I had a bit of swelling. After taking it, the pain is pretty much gone, but the swelling has gotten worse. My question is; does the swelling usually get worse at first after taking this medication? And about how long before it improves? I'm very nervous. I always think the worst. Lol. Any answer would help. Thanks. ## The general rules for an antibiotic are that, if it is working, you should not see any worsening after taking it for a full 24 hours, and you should start to see improvement after taking it for a full days. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Has there been any change, yet?

Can high dossages of Bisoprolol (5mg+0+5mg) may be used with a single dossage of Multaq 400mg (1+0+0)? Is there any sideeffects using these medicines togetherly? I am a patient of HCM (non) with irregular heartbeats age 43ys . Current treatment Concor5mg+0+Concor5mg with Plavix ## Use of the Beta Blocker Bisoprolol, with the Dronedarone in the Multaq could result in increased plasma concentrations of the Bisoprolol, this can result in Bradycardia and also increase the depressant effects of the Dronedarone. Thus, if your doctor is going to have you use them together, your dose should be carefully adjusted and you should be monitored regularly. Are there any comments or questions?

Cold medicines are a group of medications taken individually or in combination as a treatment for the symptoms of the common cold and similar conditions of the upper respiratory tract. The term encompasses a broad array of drugs, including analgesics, antihistamines and decongestants, among many others. It also includes drugs which are marketed as cough suppressants or antitussives, but their effectiveness in reducing cough symptoms is unclear or minimal.[1][2]...

What happens if you drink alot of this stuff? ## Well, as with the abuse of any medication, be it prescription or over the counter, you run the risk of getting sick, causing organ damage or possibly killing yourself. Cheratussin AC contains Codeine and Guaifensin, the Codeine is a narcotic, so this makes it even more dangerous as you can overdose on these fairly quickly. You can read more here: Do you have any other questions? ## I accidently given my child 2/3 mg of Cheratussin AC for a cough. The prescribed dosage is 1/3mg. I was given Hydroxychloriquinine when I was on Warfrin are these drugs ok to take together ## Hi Redken, Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Warfarin and Hydroxychloroquine. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. There are however a handful of interactions found between Warfarin and various foods. It's a wealth of information, so I hope you're able to discuss this with your doctor if need be: "Vitamin K may antagonize the hypoprothrombinemic effect of oral anticoagulants. Vitamin K is a cofactor in the synthesis of blood clotting factors that are inhibited by oral anticoagulants, thus intake of vitamin K through supplements or...
