my patch keeps coming off prematurely. can you recommend a solution? ## You can buy Tegaderm at Walgreen's, it's an occlusive dressing and apply it over the patch and as long as you don't have adhesive allergies it should hold through showers, etc. until the next patch is needed. Doctor took me off percocet 10's and put me on 12mcg fentanyl patches. Will this help? I have been on the Fentanyl 25mcg patches for about a month and a have. My doctor switched me to the 50mcg patches but after two of them I was moved back down to the 25's because they were too strong. My pain is almost gone so I want to get off of the patches but I don't have enough money (no insurance) to keep buying them or to see the PM Doc again. I have 5 25 mug patches left. Is there any possible way to ween myself down to zero with minimal to no withdrawal symptoms after? I am desperate to be done with all of these pain killers! I can only buy one type of Fentanyl Patch from my drug store. I have read that other folks have access to the patch with the gel rather than the one without. When I first started using them, I got the ones with gel, was told later that they did not make them anymore. Is this true or not? The ones with gel helped me a lot more, the others without gel itch, won't stay on, and I sometimes I find that the patch is curled under because of the itching in my sleep.The ones with gel also gave me more relief and stayed on. I don't want to go to a larger patch - just one that works better as the gel patch did. I have no intention of any kind of abuse, I just want to get rid of as much pain as possible. I have been treated with Fentanyl Transdermal System. I have gotten in what they call a donut hole and the price is a lot more than any person on Disability could ever afford. Do you have any suggestions? Well i have servere lymes disease and take fentanyl and percocet for pain. Well now most recently the gov. wants me to take Social Security Disability,I cant do that i am 22 going to be 23 years old and i actually want to work.
