Thanks.... ## Hello, Chandra! How are you doing? Sorry that you've been suffering such bad headaches. However, there really isn't any 'right' treatment. Is it possible to overdose on this drug in a way that causes death? What are the symptoms? ## Hello, From what I can gather, this combination can potentially be fatal, but you would have to ingest a very significant amount. A serious overdose of butalbital and acetaminophen may result in toxicity. Toxicity due to caffeine is less likely, due to the fairly small amounts in this formulation. The symptoms of overdosing on these medications are as follows: Butalbital: toxicity from Barbituate poisoning may include confusion, drowsiness, and coma; respiratory depression; hypotension; and hypovolemic shock. Acetaminophen: dose-dependent, potentially fatal hepatic necrosis is the most serious adverse effect. Renal tubular necroses, hypoglycemic coma, and coagulation defects may also occur. Ear...

is this medication appropriate for treatment of swelling in the ethmoid sinus? ## Although this medication is used a pain reliever for headaches (containing Butalbital, Acetaminophen, and Caffeine) I don't think it has anti-inflammatory properties. That said, I don't know if it would actually help with swelling, although it should relieve some of the pain. ## Butalb-Acetaminophen was prescribed for my severe frontal lobe/ sinus headaches. The Prescription reads "take one tablet every 6-8 hours as needed for headache". Well, they're 100% right on! If yoy WANT a headache that lasts 6-8 hours after administering, take one! It was a NIGHTMARE of pain and icepacks for me.

I have been prescribed this for cluster headaches. I am also a heart patient. This does not seem to do the trick for breaking the cycle. What would u recommend? ## Hello, Mike! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. What medications do you take for your heart condition? Some of them can cause headaches as side effects, as reported by the FDA. So it could be that one of them needs to be adjusted or changed, rather than trying something to treat the headaches. Many of them can also cause dehydration, which can worsen the problem.

How are you? It is most likely due to the Hydrocodone, since it is a narcotic and is well known to cause those types of side effects.
