Sammy I have had a sore mouth for up to 1 year and I have been doctors and dentist all they gave was mouth wash my throat feels like it's closing up I had a biopsy in my mouth wait for results but I'm in agony canthe eat and sleepilepsy good when I brush my teeth it brings me to tears as mouth and lipsee sting so long much ## That is very unusual. Took Phenchrom with St. John's wart given my doc to drop weight. I ws on it for 6 weeks. Dropped 20 pounds, but began having burning tongue, lip nose and chin tingling. Like a tooth ache. After going off it went away. I tested small amount later and immediately the tonge and mouth discomfort came back. Be careful! Also foot pain after cleaning like a mad woman. foot doc said over use Morton's neuroma. Still bothers me. I have been taking met xl 50 twice daily due to less saliva production. Now my mouth is burning and nose is clogged. I hope it is the side effect of met xl. I am also taking restyl 0.25 mg before going to bed. I suffer from undue anxiety without any reason and my b.p. will shoot up immediately. No complaints were found in my blood work. I take Amlodipine 5mg - it is sort of oval shaped and I find it difficult to swallow. I take it with nearly half a glass of water. However 2 days ago the pill got stuck at the back of my mouth and actually dissolved. I immediately felt a severe burning pain which was agony (I have a high pain threshold but this was unbearable). After some minutes the burning passed but for a time I couldn't eat or talk. My voice is still affected and at times drops to a whisper. I have been taking Indapamide for 18 months in December 2017 I developed a tingling sensation on the tip of my tongue which got progressively worse, eventually affecting my whole mouth and lips. I went to the doctor twice but they could find nothing wrong. In mid January I read an article on line about burning mouth syndrome which said that a potential cause could be blood pressure medication, so in desperation I stopped taking Indapamide, within a day my symptoms started to improve and there days later have almost disappeared. This antibiotic did cause burning in the chest, heart palpitations, disgusting taste in mouth that nothing can get rid of, loss of appetite and diarrhea and vomiting the first day I took it with yogurt. I wouldn't advise anyone to take this medication with dairy. Be sure to have a FULL meal before taking this medication to avoid severe nausea ?? Has anyone every experienced a burning sensation of the tongue, gums, lips, aching of the teeth and severe headache while taking Gabapentin? ## Kinda?
