round off white with WPI 3332 ## It doesn't seem to have the same effect as wellbuterin xl 300. Headaches.... ## And you are just one of the many, many people in recent months who has complained about this exact same pill. Contrary to what you are told by doctors and pharmacist, generics DO NOT HAVE TO BE EXACTLY like the name brand, there are allowed to be some difference and for some people, even though these differences are considered minor, it is enough to mean that a generic will not work for them as well as the name brand. I suggest speaking to your doctor about the problem, you may need them to prescribe it as 'brand medically necessary' or see if other pharmacies in your area carry one that is made by a different company. ## Genetics were only required to have 80% of...

What is the difference between bupropion hcl xl and buproprion xl ## This type of thing often confuses people and I understand why. However, there is no difference. They are both the same medication, the hcl just hasn't been listed on both of them. It stands for hydrochloride and designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, but it doesn't have to be included on a prescription or medication label. I hope this clears it up for you! You can learn more Bupropion details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What is the difference in Bupropion HCL and the generic wellbutrin SR ## You are wrong about that. They are not the same. I Take the Wellbutrin XL and twice they tried to switch me to the HCL. As soon as I start taking the supposedly same ...

I have been taking the Bupropion HCL XL 150MG for 5 days but have noticed little effect. It seems to me as if I am in-between how I should feel, I feel a little up, melancholy, calm but at the same time I feel not so motivated, a little placid and could easily sit and do nothing (all though I feel like I should be up doing something, does that make sense?) My question is would it hurt me to take two 150MG? Just to see if this gets me out of this limbo state. ## Hello, Ira! How are you? 5 days is far too soon to expect this medication to reach its full level of effectiveness in your body, it can take about a month for that to happen. And no, you definitely shouldn't adjust your dosage without your doctor's approval. Is there anything else I can help with?

My Dr. took me off the Wellbutrin because it was making me sick. I have been taking the Generic kind. I just got a new refill, Generic Bupropion but they look just like the Wellbutrin & my stomach pain has come back. I need help. What do the Generic Bupropion look like? ## I started taking the generic Wellbutrin 2xday, I had stomach aches, nausa, dizzy, mouth sores and funky taste in my mouth and profuse sweating. I had the non-generic before. After 3 wks, call pharm, he suggested LX once a day, which I was on last, but didn't relize it was now generic. Dr. send new perscription and within 1wk,all those horrible symptons were gone!! This is the generic XL and I am doing fine! ## The way they look can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so there is no way I could describe the...

There are just several different abbreviations for it used by manufacturers and pharmacies. Learn more Bupropion details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I take bupropion xl and have sent back the sr tablets because they dont last through the evening. A druggist told me I would have to take two sr tabs a day. My husband is taking bupropion hcl 150 mg medication in the morning along with citalopram 40 mg in the evening for depression. This is only the second day for the bupropion. He is 85 and also on Coumadiin. He is complaining this afternoon of like a stiff neck. Is this a reaction to the bupropion? He intends to stop taking the medication tomorrow morning until he can contact his primary care DR. Should he stop taking both medications citalopram tonight and bupropion tomorrow morning? Do we need to go to the ER yet today for these symtoms? ## Hello, Carol! How is your husband doing? At that point, it wasn't life-threatening to require a trip to the ER, but yes, the Bupropion has been known to cause a stiff neck and/or sore/stiff muscles in general in some people that take it. round pill pink 555 ## I was just switched from Bupropion SR 150 3x a day to Buprobion ER 200 2x a day. But the pharmacy label on the new bottle says Buproprion HCL ER 200 and below that generic for Bupropion HCL SR 200 but it's only twice a day. I thought only the brand (XL) was still the only 2x a day version. So now I'm totally confused about the difference between SR, ER, and XL. I'd been feeling worse, but the last 3x a day was for 150. So seems like now my dosage has been reduced? Does this make sense. (My doctor also has a pharmacy degree, and gets *very* annoyed at being questioned about my medicines.) I feel so dumb, but I just can't figure this out. Could someone here please straightened me out--unconfuse me? Thanks very much! ## Hello, Meg! How are you doing? ...

Current Bupropion HCL XL150 MB TABGLO are yellow oblong pills that are press-stamped 681. New Rx refill is Bupropion HC XL150 MG Tablets are small white pills tab ink stamped WPI 3331...is there just a difference in manufacturer? ## Yes, that is correct, they are both the same medication, in the same dosage and formulation, just made by different companies. It is common for a pharmacy to switch which one they provide, depending on who was offering the cheapest price whenever they needed to restock. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What exactly is the difference in Bupropion HCL XL and Bupropion SR? ## I have been taking Bupropion HCL XL 150 mg round white tablets for several years. Can this medication be crushed and if not, is it available in a chewable or liquid form? I will be needing this in an alternative form in a few months and am looking into the alternatives ahead of time in order to be prepared. ## No, this one cannot, because the XL designates it as being time released. However, there is a regular release formulation available that you may be able to switch to, if you speak to your prescriber about it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, insomnia and nervousness. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been taking this medication for almost 4 weeks. The first two weeks taking the medication was great, but these last two weeks has been horrible. I've been having motion sickness for two weeks and a lil dizziness every once in awhile. It has helped with my nightmares, but I get so discouraged because the motion sickness is depressing. I wanted to see if the A101 pill or the 3331 150mg pill will make a difference. I've seen XL, SA and SR and it all confuses me why there are so many pills that are related to this medication. I am going to see if my Dr. can change it to a different number, the #13 pill is terrible. ## When a medication is available as a generic it is usually manufactured by various different pharmaceutical companies, whichever one you receive from any given...

I would like to know how to switch from Bupropion HCL XL 300 to Contrave 8/90? I have been taking Bupropion for years. I want to switch over to Contrave. ## Hello, Jessie! How are you? The main issue is going to experiencing some withdrawal effects, since Contrave contains less Bupropion, but your doctor should be able to help you make the switch. You may need to do a taper, before starting the Contrave. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, and nervousness. Has anyone else made the switch? If so can you detail how it was done?

I took Wellbutrin and Wellbutrin XL for several years. It worked well for depression. I was then switched to the generic, Bupropion Hcl XL. This also worked well. I was then switched to "Buprop 24 XL". After a month or so, I had serious side effects. (Muscle spasms, increased depression, and my hands shook such that it affected my writing and the use of a keyboard.) About 2 months ago I switched back to the brand drug, Wellbutrin, and am almost back to normal. If Buprop 24 XL is identical to Wellbutrin (and to Bupropion), why the side effects? What companies make each of the three different drugs? ## Well to be honest, the generics and name brands aren't necessarily identical. I know they tell you that and they do so because for most people, it doesn't make a difference....

CIPLA got approval from the FDA to produce their generic version of Wellbutrin XL on August 30, 2016. I have made an inquiry to CIPLA as to whether their approval also means that they met the bioequivalence testing that other generic manufacturers had to comply with after Teva/Impax was pulled off the market in Sept. 2012 -- and Actavis (now owned by Watson) was removed Oct. 2013. [Second Generic Version of Popular Antidepressant to be Pulled from Market for Bioequivalency Issues]. Not sure if they have this problem corrected. Anyone know about Cipla or Watson/Actavis? ## For anyone else who may be wanting to contact Cipla USA regarding this concern, you can reach their customer service department by phone at: 844-CIPLA US (844-247-5287) or via email at: [email protected] Furthermore, it...

purple, round, four 9's appear around the pill ## Will amlodipine affect me while taking bupropion 300 mg pills? ## Hello, I was unable to find any pill of any color that has four 9's as an imprint, however I was able to find a Bupropion pill that has GG;929 imprint in which the G's sort of look like 9's upside down. I will provide an image, let me know if this is the pill you are asking about and I will provide further information. Let me know if this is the pill that you have. If not I can continue searching. ## I have been given the bupropion hcl xl prescription today. I am overweight. I'm wondering, is this a water pill? And depression pill?

Have been using Bupropian HCL XL 300 mg tabs for over 5 years. The markins have always been A102 from Anchen manufacturing. Now I received a M B9 pill fro Mylan pharma - which has alot of different ingredients than the other. I have had ZERO luck with taking different manufacturing products over the years. DOes anyone know where I can get a clear view on the difference in these pills . Drugs.com has the inactive ingredients. Called doctor also, but they are more of a try and see type. Anyone have issues with M B9 ## Well, unfortunately, your doctor is right, there's really no way to know how it may affect you, until you try it. Did you take any, yet? If you do have a problem with them, you can always ask your pharmacy if they can order the other ones back in for you. ## I have not t...

WHAT MEDICATIONS CAN I NOT MIX WITH BUPROPN HCL 150MG XL ## Bupropion is an antidepressant that is also used for smoking cessation. As to the medications it should not be used with, I checked and there are actually over 300 different ones, so far too many for me to list here. However, if you have specific ones that you are looking for information on, I will gladly look them up for you. Can you post back with more information? One medication class I can tell you that you have to stay away from are MAOIs.

Just stared taking Bupropion hcl xl 150 six days ago. Just switched from Cymbalta, having problems with headache, dizziness, difficulty sleeping, and a couple seconds long period of confusion. I am wondering if these will pass as I adjust to this drug. Probably will call doctor but wanted to hear from people who have experienced this ## Hello, Susan! How are you? What you've described are all reported as possible side effects of this medication by the FDA. You may also experience dry mouth and irritability. Side effects are usually transient and go away, once your body gets used to the medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. They may also be compounded from stopping the Cymbalta, because that could cause some withdrawal symptoms. What did your doctor advise?
