There are just several different abbreviations for it used by manufacturers and pharmacies. Learn more Bupropion details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I take bupropion xl and have sent back the sr tablets because they dont last through the evening. A druggist told me I would have to take two sr tabs a day. What is the difference between bupropion hcl xl and buproprion xl ## This type of thing often confuses people and I understand why. However, there is no difference. They are both the same medication, the hcl just hasn't been listed on both of them. It stands for hydrochloride and designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, but it doesn't have to be included on a prescription or medication label. I hope this clears it up for you! You can learn more Bupropion details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What is the difference in Bupropion HCL and the generic wellbutrin SR ## You are wrong about that. They are not the same. I've been on now for almost 6 weeks and I don't know how I'd survive without it! Of course, it can affect people differently. Keep taking as directed and give it a little time. round pill pink 555 ## I was just switched from Bupropion SR 150 3x a day to Buprobion ER 200 2x a day. But the pharmacy label on the new bottle says Buproprion HCL ER 200 and below that generic for Bupropion HCL SR 200 but it's only twice a day. I thought only the brand (XL) was still the only 2x a day version. So now I'm totally confused about the difference between SR, ER, and XL. I'd been feeling worse, but the last 3x a day was for 150. So seems like now my dosage has been reduced? Does this make sense. (My doctor also has a pharmacy degree, and gets *very* annoyed at being questioned about my medicines.) I feel so dumb, but I just can't figure this out. Could someone here please straightened me out--unconfuse me? Thanks very much! ## Hello, Meg! How are you doing? ...

Last month (Feb 2014) my pharmacy filled my prescription for bupropion hcl sr 200mg with product made by actavis. It was an oval yellow pill. I felt dramatically better, and was looking forward to continuing to use the same product. Now it is apparently no longer available because Activis was bought by Watson. My new prescription is a round white tablet with wpi 3335 written on it. Has anyone else had experience with this particular product? Has anyone found success with any other version of this product. It is very frustrating to have so much inconsistancy from one bottle of medication to the next. (Global Pharmaceuticals was so bad that I changed pharmacies to get a better product.) ## Have you tried talking to your pharmacist about the problem? They may be able to order in the one th...

I've been taking this medication for almost 4 weeks. The first two weeks taking the medication was great, but these last two weeks has been horrible. I've been having motion sickness for two weeks and a lil dizziness every once in awhile. It has helped with my nightmares, but I get so discouraged because the motion sickness is depressing. I wanted to see if the A101 pill or the 3331 150mg pill will make a difference. I've seen XL, SA and SR and it all confuses me why there are so many pills that are related to this medication. I am going to see if my Dr. can change it to a different number, the #13 pill is terrible. ## When a medication is available as a generic it is usually manufactured by various different pharmaceutical companies, whichever one you receive from any given...

Current Bupropion HCL XL150 MB TABGLO are yellow oblong pills that are press-stamped 681. New Rx refill is Bupropion HC XL150 MG Tablets are small white pills tab ink stamped WPI 3331...is there just a difference in manufacturer? ## Yes, that is correct, they are both the same medication, in the same dosage and formulation, just made by different companies. It is common for a pharmacy to switch which one they provide, depending on who was offering the cheapest price whenever they needed to restock. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What exactly is the difference in Bupropion HCL XL and Bupropion SR? ## I have been taking Bupropion HCL XL 150 mg round white tablets for several years. I have been to a neurologist, a rheumatologist, i've been for an M.R.I., and also been for more blood tests than I can count. All because of side effects I had been having for nearly two years. Here are a list of symptoms I had while taking Bupropion HCL SR 150mg: *dry mouth, *severe headache, *increased sweating, *joint aches, *blurred/tunnel vision, *dizziness, *chest pain, *fainting/black out, *irregular heartbeat, *hearing problems/ringing in the ears, *agitation, *confusion, *anxiety, *shaking, *weakness, *hallucinations, *swelling/numbness in face, tongue & lips, *high blood pressure. My doctor's first concern was stroke. The neurologist ruled that out because the symptom of numbness/tingling would start in my mouth and move to my hand/fingers over the course of an hou...

IMy doctor switch from 75 mg of ic bupropion hcl to 150mg of ic bupropion sr I dont want to gain weight.People tell me wich is better. ## The only difference here is the dosage and the fact that the new one he prescribed for you is a sustained release tablet, which means you take one tablet a day and it is slowly released, rather than releasing all of the medication at once. The side effects, however, remain the same: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache. If you weren't gaining weight on it, then there isn't much chance that the new dosage is going to have that effect on you, either. Are there any comments or questions? ## I WOULD LIKE THE SIDR AFFECTS OF BUPROPION 150MGSR TAB WATTS

Ive been taking the SR for a long time. I had a siezure Aug 2008. My Dr has kept me on this med. w/ok from Nuerologist. The maximum daily dose shouldn't exceed 450mgs, taken as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Does anyone know if Budeprion HCL (ER, SR...) is still being distributed at all in the US? Years ago I was Rx'ed generic Wellbutrin SR, always had filled at Target and always received the TEVA Budeprion SR formula. It worked wonderfully for me. Now that TEVA's Budeprion formulations have been pulled, my Rx's are filled with the Bupropion HCL or Bupropion HBR ER/SR - I haven't found a generic manufacturer of the bupropion (Mylan, Actavis, etc.) that works nearly as well as the budeprion. In fact, some generics have made me so ill that I've actually have a "poisioned-like" feeling (for lack of a better description) begin to ramp up after 2 weeks of a specific generic, every time I've tried that specific generic. Other generics seem to have no effect whatsoe...

I was taking Bupropion 150 mg SR twice per day ( so i was taking a total of 300 mg per day). Then my Dr switched me to the bupropion HCL 150 mg XL once per day and said it was the same as taking 300 mg per day. It doesn't seem right to me. Any thoughts on why this makes sense? ## Your doctor may be referring to the notion that 150mgs of extended release Bupropion is similar to taking it twice per day; since it remains in your system for a much longer period of time. Perhaps it is still in your system by the time you would've previously taken your second dose. It's not 100% clear to me, but that's the only logical reasoning I can think of. They say if you take 150mgs of XL in the morning, then you shouldn't need to take anymore of it later in the day. Whereas with SR ...

I have taken bupropion SR 200MG which is blue & marked MU13, my recent prescription was filled from A different pharmacy company. This prescription is Bupropion HCL SR 200 MG which is a peach pill marked 555. Is the 555 the same as MU13? ## Yes, the tablet with the 555 marking also contains 200mgs of extended release Bupropion. Learn more Bupropion details here. It is normal for your pharmacy to switch, if a different company is offering a cheaper price at the time they need to restock their supply. It is how they keep prices down for customers that don't have insurance. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been taking Burpropion HCL SR 150mg for about 4 months now and I recently got my refill for the next three months. However, instead of saying "Bupropion HCL SR 150MG Tablet" It now says "G.E. Bupropion HCL SR 150MG Tablet". My pills also used to be white with a distinct chemical smell, but these new pills are purple and have a fruity smell. I just want to make sure it isn't a change in composition as I have been taking these routinely for my major depressive disorder and have seen great progress and don't want to have a regression. Thanks for any info! ## Are there any markings on them? When initials, or an abbreviation is listed, before a drug name, it usually stands for the manufacturer. Bupropion may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mo...
