Breathing Issues On Xarelto
2 Topics FoundHello all..Sept 29,2014 I was put in the hospital for having 2 massive clots in my lungs. I was put on the small dose of Xarelto for 21 days taking them twice a day. Now I just started 2 days ago taking 20mg 1 time a day. I havent had any issues except for a pain that is in my left arm. What makes me a little worried is when I went into the hospital it was cause I was short of breath and a pain in my left arm.. So should I be worried or is it just a side effect? ## Hi Kendra, Sorry to hear about your troubles with those symptoms. Hi all, I have been taking Rivaroxaban (UK name for Xarelto) since November 2015 and I have a number of issues, most of which have been mentioned on here already, like joint pain and fatigue but on thing I don't see anyone else mention is having seriously vivid dreams, to the point where I wake up in a sweat and breathing rapidly with a fast heart rate too. Some dreams are quite violent or a bit gory, like I was being chased by Russians (FFS)! A few nights ago I dreamt I was picking hard skin off my feet, but the whole of the sole of my foot came away leaving raw red flesh! I cannot be alone, surely??? ## This medication has been known to cause sleep disorders and almost any medication risks causing vivid dreaming, so it's not really unusual.
