does drug have anything to do with breaking out ## I have always had ezcema, but have always been able to control in, recently i had a skin reaction to my face only which left me with horrible case of blotched and raised red lesions,and very itchy, didn't know what happen, I have never had this before so in freaked me out.....went to hospital emergency dept and was given IV fluid of steroid 200mg, was then prescribed a dose of 25mgx5 tablets first day then decreasing dosage over a 7 day period, it worked great , however 2 days after finishing tablets my face just felt like it was on fire and very red. I was just started on 5 milligram Methadone, and I'm already on 30 mg oxycodone three times a day, after losing my leg. But I just received my refill and there's a deep score in the pills. I was told this is a 12-hour pill. So my question is whether this is the wrong pill because I thought that any 12-hour extended bill would not be scored and able to be broken or I would overdose or get too much at once? So can you tell me is that appropriate? What happens if it breaks? Can I take the two halves separately all at once or will it release all at one time? I don't know why it's scored. I'm taking losartan 100mg and atorvastatin 80 mg. I also take 45 units of Humalog, 80 units of Levemir, 500 mg metformin, carvedilol once a day, bumetanide and amlodipine 10 mg. I took all this for a long time. I started breaking out with about 200 hives all over my legs and side of my body. Can you please tell me what it could be? I had to quit taking all my medication except my sugar shot and I started adding one pill at a time. As soon as I got to that amlodipine and I took 70 units of my leveremir the next morning I broke out all over, so I quit and just took two 45 unit doses and I was okay. Can someone help me please? I CAN'T SWALLOW PILLS AND WAS WONDERING IF YOU CAN BREAK OPEN A LIQUICAP AND GET THE MEDICINE OUT. ## It should be safe to do with these, since they aren't time released, unless your doctor specifically instructs you otherwise. However, with the Ibuprofen and other ingredients, it is likely to cause some irritation to your mouth, esophagus and stomach, plus taste terrible. Vick's products, however, are listed as containing Acetaminophen, not Ibuprofen, though the same information still applies. Have you discussed it with your doctor?

I am 33 and have been on the clinic for 2 years & a daily oxy user for 3 years prior. My highest dose was 120mg I started tapering 6 months ago and was down to 40mg and felt fine..... Then I lost my job & had to do a financial detox.... 40-0 in 10 days. Symptoms were not too bad till the last dose day. I wanted to know if I could break a 40 mg opana in half? I've been on methadone now for 2 1/2 years starting at 10 mls going to 110 now at 48. I have been losing my teeth and nails and my bones have been cracking and breaking ( literally ). I am wondering if anyone else has been going through this? ## Has this only been happening since you started taking the methadone? I've honestly never heard of this happening to anyone, but it may also be a good idea to get blood work done to check and see if you may be deficient in any nutrients. Soma is the strongest muscle relaxant available, but it doesn't work for everyone that tries it. I had much better results with Zanaflex and Flexeril. I live in brooklyn ny...bought some 2mg 3722 bars that seem to crumble easily and WILL NOT break on the lines. After breaking out with hives every time I am exposed to sun, I now believe It is the multac. I could not take amariderone after sun exhaustion and I would like to know a safe drug to take for SVT. I am not a candidate for ablation because it is in too many places. ## Hello, Tiger! How are you? Yes, it could make you more sensitive to the effects of the sun, but most medications do. Rather than trying to hunt one that doesn't, it would be best to avoid the sun, or use a good sunblock, when you go out in it. Your prior reaction of heat exhaustion likely has made you much more sensitive to, so combining that with a medication is a double whammy, so to speak. Have you talked to your prescriber? They may know a good sunblock you can use to prevent the hives.
