This is the highest dosage unit of immediate release morphine made anywhere, just the one brand, VERMOR-60 by Verve Healthcare. I take them simply because they are much cheaper than any other morphine sulphate I have ever come across, and I need three 'rescue' doses of an opioid analgesic daily since my Oxycontin 120mg tablets seem to last only 6 hours, and not the twelve claimed on the box... Zydus brand, I was taking endo brand with only side effect of occasional constipation! otherwise the medication was working well for my after neck surgery care chronic pain etc,, then 5 days ago got the brand zydus! Day 1: vertigo nasua tiredness felt so sick & severe migraine! On my formulary list, it shows Morphine Sulfate bead, as a category of morphine available. I am currently taking morphine sulfate ER 30 mg., but the cost is $90 for a quantity of 90 pills (1 month supply). The Morphine Sulfate bead is shown with a cost of only $15 per month. A friend of mine recently told me that she had been prescribed 30mg of MS Contin but opted for the generic Morphine Sul as it was cheaper and was the same as MS Contin but while researching the above med she found that this med also contained both morphine and oxycodone . This didn't make sense to me because if any combination of meds would or could be found in the name brand or generic wouldn't it be more likely that it would be morphine and oxycontin since the name brand does have the word Contin in it ?
