Dear Dr. My father 65/m k/o IHD dilated ischaemic cardiomyopathy CCF DM II. takin Carvedilol (3.125 twice daily) Cardace 1.25 bed time, clavix AS150, Amaryl 1mg, Flavedon MR twice daily, Dytor 40mg 1/2 tab twicedaily. Pease suggest if there would be any side effects of the above. He feels weak & his bp remains 100/80 to 90/70. ## I am not a doctor, but I can provide you with some information. The reason he is feeling weak could be due to his blood pressure being so low, when it's hitting 90/70 this can be too low for some people and can cause symptoms such as feeling weak, dizzy and tired. While most doctors will tell you the lower your blood pressure the better, this is not completely accurate. There are points where it can be too low and will cause those kinds of symptoms. In ...

I just got Cardizem approved and am taking it for 5 days. My heart rate is high now ( not the first time) and I feel dizzy, depressed, and fatigued. Do you think the dosage is too high? ## Those can be normal side effects, when starting a new medication in this class, according to the FDA. You may also experience nausea, increased urination, and hypotension. Has there been any change? ## Cartizem takes time. And if not working good u need higher dose

I've have been prescribed Cardizem CD 240 mg once a day for BP - the generic name is (Diltiazem CD). I was taking metroprolol 50 mg twice a day for about 18 months and was experiencing hair loss so the doctor moved me to Cardizem CD. Has anyone experienced hair loss while taking Cadizem CD? ## I haven't taken the medication, so I have no personal experience with it, but hair loss can still be a side effect of the Diltiazem, though it is not known to be a very common one. How severe was the hair loss?

I am 37 years old and i was taking Telvas 40 mg from last one year because of high B.P. Now for the last month i have been taking Nebicard 5mg, and my B.P. is normal. Should i take more tablets and continue treatment or can i stop it? Please advise. I have taken Benicar for years. Dr. tried a different BP medicine and I started a dry cough for weeks......back to Benicar, and cough went away. In December, Dr. switched me to olmesartan, which, as I understand it is generic for Benecar. I've been coughing ever since.........is that even possible? Are the two medicines identical, or is it possible that for me, Olmesartan causes cough but Benicar does not? ## I also recently switched from Benicar to the generic form. Can't stop with the dry cough. After hearing of your experience, I'm calling my cardiologist. This is intolerable! ## It is always possible for your body to suddenly start reacting differently to a medication, and for you to start experiencing new side effects.
