Bp Car 100 Mg

A pink oblong pill with BP CAR on one side and 100 MG on the other side. Trying to identify it. ## I have read several posts asking about this same thing, but so far, no one has been able to find an identification for it. It is not listed in any of the U.S. prescription drug resources. Do you have any other information on it? Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? ## I had these pills that were given to me by my vet for my dog. He said it was reduce swelling due to an eye injury. I have white coat and anxiety. My doctor has had me on Metoprolol 100mg succinate once a day and just switched me to 100mg tartrate twice a day since my BP was high in his office. Is this dangerous or the dosage too high? Seems like a high dosage. ## Hello, Kera! How are you? What are your bp levels at other times? If it's really only high, when you're in the doctor's office, a medication isn't necessary. Even an ER won't treat for that, they will only do so if levels are dangerously elevated. I have been suffering from High pulserate and High BP.I am 26yrs old. But after investigating DOC did not find any cardiac related diseases. Doc has suggested Tel ma AMH-80 , Arkamin & EM-beta-100 mg . After using these tabs i am having sleep pattern disturbances such as sleep jerks ,legs shaking during night & continuous dreams.I am not sure which of the above tablets are causing me these side effects . If I'm prescribed both pills, do I have to take them together? What if I only take the Losartan without the Hydrochlorothiazide? ## You should take them both, as prescribed. They are often used together to help lower high blood pressure and to treat some cardiac conditions. Taking just the Losartan may lower it some, but not as much as taking both. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Did your doctor instruct you to take both? ## Someone has asked this, but I didn't see a specific response to it - Should losartan and hydrochlorothiazide be taken at the same time or different times of day for BP control?

Hi, my mother has High BP. It was 140/90 for the past few years.. But for the last one month it has gone up to (150-160)/(100-110). She is 49 years old. She is using Concor 2.5mg, Ln block 10 (twice a day) and Aldactone 25 mg. But still the BP is at the same level. She even consulted a cardiologist but everything is normal. I have been taking Flomax, starting in 1996, or since it's release, and at that time, depended on samples from my primary care doctor, because, at that time flomax was 100$ for 30 capsules. Then, when my insurance started paying, the generic Tamsulosin was released, and to date I have remained on this medication for bph, and prior to 1996 Hytrin was prescribed, which also worked for me. For 22 years I have had to take something for bph and I'm now 60 yrs old. OK, I said all that to say on this. My vet prescribed previcox 227 mg for my dog but the pills he gave me have bp-car 100mg printed on them. Is this the same drug or did he make a mistake ## Hello, Rick! How are you and that pup? No, they are not the same medication. Previcox contains the active ingredient Firocoxib, but the one you've been given contains Carprofen. They are both non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, but not the same. I'd suggest contacting them to double check which your dog should be taking. Is there anything else I can help with?

Had been taking Cozaar 100 mg, which had my bp under control (ranging from 115/78 to 128/82). Also started back at the gym 2 1/2 months ago. Now up to regular cardio routine totalling 150 mins/ week. No shortness of breath or other problems. I asked the doc if I could step down to Cozaar 50 mg, as the 100 mg was making me feel like my heart ached from time to time. I am having High Bp 140/90 and some times 140/100, for the last 10 years. first 8 years I was put on Atenol 25mg. Two years back my cardiologist changed my medicine to Telma-H(40mg). I have been taking Toprol XL for 4 years. Can I replace it with Diovan? ## I am 53 and take 100mg Toprol Xl each morning. I exercise at least 40 minutes 5 days per week (cardio) at the lunch hour. I am the CEO of our company and do experience stress on a regular basis. I am 6'4 tall and 225 pounds. I have been taking 50 mg twice a day of metoprolol tartrate since May. Doc wants to double the dose all at once...200 mg a day because BP was elevated a little (from a panic attack, I believe). So the 50 mg scored pills were a pink pill. The 100 mg pills are blue scored pills. If I am too afraid to double the dose all at once, is cutting the scored 100 mg tablet the same as two 50 mg tablets?
