I have been prescribed this drug for control of my fluctuating Blood Pressure. Normaly my BP ranges between 80/140 to 90/150. Recently it shot unto 110/170. I am 61 yrs. and have been taking BP control medicine Tenormin 50 - one in the morning and Telma 20 - one in the night. Last week I got my Eco Cardiograme and CT Angeography done. The reports are clear and Normal. Do I need to change the medicine and what is the side effect of Tazloc CT 80 mg. ## If your blood pressure is still going that high, then apparently your current medications aren't controlling it and that's most likely why your doctor has prescribed something new. Have you discussed it with your doctor? It's usually advisable to follow their advice, since they have your best interest and safety in mind. Uncontr...

My brother(age 40) is diabetic and has high BP. He was taking Telma 80,which makes the BP 100/65. Then doctor change the medicine to Telma 40. Now his BP is 140/90 and doctor prescribed him Telma H 40,which causes dizziness and low BP. What should he do? ## The Telma-H contains Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, this latter medication is a diuretic that removes excess fluid from the body. It is likely that he is experiencing some dehydration from it and that is what is causing the low blood pressure and dizziness. He may need to slightly increase his fluid intake to compensate for this and keep his blood pressure from dropping too low. Learn more Telmisartan details here. Learn more Hydrochlorothiazide details here. He does need to consult his doctor first though, because there are so...

I went to the doctor with a blood pressure reading of 161/102 so she put me on lisinopril-hctz 10mg. My BP dropped within 30 minutes to 83/60 after just 1 dose. It has been 3 days now and my BP hovers between 83/60 and 111/63. I'm now a bit concerned because my BP is usually 134/90-140/95 (sometimes higher) and this just seems a bit low. Is this normal after just 1 dose? ## Hello, Cattz! How are you? While the 134 and 140 are not dangerous numbers, the 90 and 95 are concerning, normal is considered a systolic of 120 or less, and a diastolic of 80 or less and it should be treated to lower it to more normal and safer levels. As to the Lisinopril/HCTZ, no that is not normal after just one dose. But what I'm wondering is if the 161/102 reading was just a temporary elevation due some...

I was taking Natrilex Sr 1.5 earlier. Now with the BP being higher than 80 (between 90 and 95) for many evenings, I consulted a doctor who advised me to take Telma 40 with Natrilex. However, I have experienced certain dizziness after taking this medicine. Should I continue or take only Natrilex? Sir, i am on Losacar H from 8 months one daily, My bp was 135/90 to 140/100 range always and is still same . its not coming down to 120/80. Now my doctor advised to switch to Envas 5mg. My BP is always around 120/80 and 130/80 when i used to take Stamlobeta for the past 30 years. My BP has been well controlled in the UK on 10mg daily +a diuretic. However, after coming to Florida on vacation where temps have been around 80-90+ degrees I felt terrible after playing golf despite taking a large intake of water and salts during the round. On arriving back 'home' I checked my BP which was 90/58! I found I had to reduce my Felodipine to 2.5mg and stop the diuretic because even sitting out in the sun for an hour dropped my BP. I am a retired doctor and had never seen or read about this effect though when considering Feloipines mode of action it seems logical though I agree these observations could lead to a teleological conclusion. However, I felt other users should be aware ofthem. Stopping the diuretic (indapamide) alone had no effect. ## I am very sorry about...
