My hip bone numbers are worse after the 6 month shot. ## Not all medications and treatments work for everyone that tries them, that's why they are usually several choices available in any given therapeutic category. Has anyone experienced growing/lengthening of bones while taking Forteo? I have been using it for about 5 months now and I think I'm actually growing! At age 51! I was just fitted for new sneakers and went from a size 9 to a 10.5 and I've noticed that the long sleeves on some of my tops have become not so long sleeved. ## The FDA does not list that as being a normal side effect of this medication, but there is no way to say how anyone will be affected by any given medication. The typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, joint/muscle aches, and administration site reactions. However, there are also other medical conditions that may cause such issues, so it would be best to check with your physician to be sure. Are you on any other medications?

I had two Reclast intravenous drugs; one in '08 & '09. In 2008 I had sinus lift augmentation with placement of 10 implants. In 2011, I lost one implant on the top & in 2012, I lost another implant on top again. I went to see my oral surgeon in July '12 and he told me that there was nothing he could do to help me as the bone in my upper jaw is severely deteriorated. Then I went to see a Prosthrodontist in Baltimore and he too could not make me a plate due to the severity of the upper bone. I subsequently learned that I cannot sue the drug company because they put on there indications about possible Jaw Bone problems. I do not remember my doctor telling me about the jaw bone problems prior to having the oral surgery. I am 63 years old & now left to flounder because...

dr.marshall urist, study of stem cells and this protein make up new cartilage in knees without surgery.is there such an item and dr.if so how is he contacted ## Hello! Sorry about your knees! Unfortunately, Dr. Urist passed away back in 2001, though yes, he is credited with identifying Bone-Mending Protein, he was an orthopedic surgeon. But, as it is a bone protein, it does not help cartilage, it helps bone. His work identified new proteins to help bones heal, when someone had suffered major fractures. They help with the regeneration of the bone. His work revolutionize orthopedic surgery, though ironically, it was ignored for many years, before finally being acknowledged as the "breakthrough" it was. Is there anything else I can help with?

i got severe pain in my spinal card if i am sitting continuously.and also at night times i got the pain severely like my bones are pending. in my exray , one my bone is in damaged condition like corrosion but i am just 22 what should i do? ## What has your doctor advised? One thing you should do is avoid being sedentary for long periods of time, especially if you know it is going to cause you pain. Lack of movement will always aggravate these types of conditions and many people let themselves become sedentary, not realizing how much of their pain can be alleviated through exercise and movement.

Lately, I've been having pain in the coccyx bone after sitting, whether on the bed or a chair. I did not fall down at all. Why is it hurting after sitting for only 25 minutes? ## It is really hard to say, you should see a doctor and let them do a physical exam. Do you sit a lot during the day? If so, that may cause it, since it is not good to be idle too much. It could also be due to your possibly developing arthritis, or some other medical condition, according to NIH reports, but only a doctor can give you a definitive answer. Are you on any medications?
